April's Daisy

Hi friends! It is milder here now. Daffodils are blooming in my neighborhood.

April's Daisy by Cottage Garden Samplings☂️🌼

I stitched this one over two on 40ct lambswool linen with the called for DMC and WDW Saffron. I am making flat finishes out of all twelve months and mounting them with a magnet to this finishing piece I got from Hobby Lobby.

🐇🐤🐇🐤🐇🐤🐇🐤🐇🐤🐇

I have begun stitching an angel for my Mom's birthday coming up in May.

I have a giveaway. This pattern was supplied by our friend Robin.

This giveaway is open to all of my followers. All you need to do is be a sidebar follower of this blog. You need to leave a comment stating that you would like a chance to win this pattern. I will draw a name and announce the winner on Monday, May 9th.

📚The latest Maisie Dobbs novel, need I say more?!?! Get it! Read it!!
This one centers around ATA girls. The woman ferry pilots during WWII in England/Air Transport Auxiliary. And a very important American guest to England. Mrs. Roosevelt! It brings Maisie and Scott's work together. And little Anna is suffering bullying at school. I cried with this book. I have never done that before in this series. My one and only complaint about this series is the long wait for the next book! 😉😄

I was able to get in to see my pain doctor one more time before he left the practice permanently to go practice on the other side of our state. He prescribed muscle relaxers for when my back gets so very painful by the end of the day sometimes that the TENS unit cannot work, and the pain is so bad, all I can do is cry it out. I was also able to get a prescription of percocet from my physician. I should be good then until I do get in to the new-to-me pain doctor in October. Unfortunately that is the soonest available. The first appointments with the doctors are hardest to schedule for, since they are longer.  I am doing a bit better now, as far as pain goes. I just take it day by day.

I hope and pray you have a good weekend my friends. It is always nice to hear from you, otherwise I do not know you stopped by, and if no one is coming by my blog anymore, why bother keeping it?

It is good for me that I have been afflicted,

That I may learn Your statutes.  Psalm 119: 71

Stitching and praying,

Vickie

Vickie, I always love reading your blog. Instagram is fine for seeing pictures but I don't think you really get to know the people!!I am thinking of getting my blog back up just for that reason. I am glad you have some help with the pain. My back is having lots of issues too. I think because I am trying to keep my garden going and that is lots of work in the Spring. May God bless you my friend!

Another sweet finish, it looks perfect in that frame!
I'm looking forward to seeing the Angel that you're stitching for your Mom.
Please include me in your Bumble give-a-way, too cute!
Are you able to get on a waiting list for an earlier appointment with the new doctor? I have an appt in June, but I'm hoping for an earlier one if it's available. I'm glad you at least have some meds until then.

I'm so glad you're doing a little better, Vickie! I hope you continue to improve. I'm glad you got your meds as sometimes that's all that helps and your body needs a break from the pain.

I absolutely love your piece and how you're finishing it1 How clever to use magnets to change it out each month! I really love how it looks.

I'd love to be entered in your giveaway. What a cute bee!

I can't wait to read that book. I have enjoyed all her books and look forward to each one.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings - Julie

April's Daisy looks great! I'm glad you were able to see your Dr before he moves. Hopefully the meds he gave you will help until you can get into the new guy. Continuing to pray for pain relief.

Vickie, I love your latest stitch in the HL finishing piece, it works so well with all your lovely stitching.
I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain, it's just awful that you have to wait so long for your appt. I pray that someone cancels so you get in far sooner.
I enjoy your blog and surely hope that you continue.

The magnet finish is a great idea. I need to investigate something like that. I do love that series too.
I do hope you can get an earlier appointment,
I think I'd blog even if no-one commented because it's my diary. I might have to stop the Blog Hops though LOL

Your April finish is so sweet, Vickie! I do love the way you're finishing this series.

And guess what--you'll be proud of me! I just started my very first Maisie Dobbs novel :) Am enjoying it so far!

Hope your pain is getting a bit easier to bear each day ♥

Hi Vickie! Your spring stitches are so sweet and fresh! I'm sorry your pain is so unbearable. I will pray for a wise doctor who can help you, or better yet a miraculous healing! Amen! I'm sorry I don't often leave a comment. I almost always read blogs from my phone and I am unable to comment that way, I don't know why. There are many things with technology and log ins that I don't understand and it is a constant frustration to me! I often say to my husband that with all the tech we have, why isn't it easier to do things?! :)
