This and That

Hi friends! 🍅🍓🐩 ❤️🤍💙This is what I have been up to lately.

Making lots of tomatoes and strawberries, each varying in material and style. These two are mine. All the others are going to be for my upcoming 1,000 followers giveaway on Instagram. I just have to reach that point. I am almost there. If you would like to follow me you can do so here: HERE

🐱Isn't he a handsome boy? I named him Francis. I spotted him a week ago across the street from our apartment, where we take Henry for potty. Kitty corner from our building is a vacant building, and this fella just popped up there. So we have been feeding him. He is the sweetest thing ever. He is young and I know he was someone's housepet. He comes running to you when you show up over there. He meows like crazy. He is starved for love. He rubs your ankles like mad. He and Henry stand right next to each other and sniff each other and don't do a thing to each other. Well after a week, and me knocking on doors asking if anyone is missing a cat, and no one is, I called two pet stores and the two closest vet clinics and no one has reported a missing cat. 🥺 So yesterday we took him to our humane society where they discovered he did not have a microchip. SO he now waits for 10 days to be vaccinated and neutered and adopted! 😁 And I know he WILL be adopted, because he is such a sweetheart. 😺

📚 This is a well researched historical novel about a not very well known shipwreck, the steamship Pulaski from Savannah, Georgia in 1838. The author uses a dual timeline with a history professor as the main character, who happens to be obsessed with the Pulaski. She searches and digs for information on the ship and it's passengers. She even dives with the dive crew once the actual Pulaski is discovered. And the real Pulaski was discovered while the author was writing this very book. She was in contact with the dive crew and obtained information for this book from them. I found it very interesting.

Sweet friends would you take time to pray for my dear Aunt Kathy?

She has found out she has colon cancer. She is to have four CT scans as soon as possible to make sure the cancer has not metastasized. Then on to surgery to remove the cancer. Thank you my friends.💗

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?  Mark 8:36

I hope and pray you have a wonderful week. Thank you for stopping by. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate you.💗

✨Stars & Stripes✨

Hi friends! I finished my patriotic piece. This is:✨Stars & Stripes by Helen Dailey✨

This can be found on IG : @eastcoast.crafter ❣️ Helen is SO generous with her sweet seasonal designs. I LOVE them. I stitched this two over two on 28ct black Jobelan with Crystal, Lipstick, and Royal Blue Artiste metallic flosses and DMC precious metal effects E3821 and DMC 4512. ❤️🤍💙

I received a lovely birthday package in the mail a few days ago from our friend June

She gave me a sweet birthday card, and a pretty Paris pattern complete with pink 🐩. I will definitely be stitching the little June pattern for my cubby shelf. I absolutely adore the PINK POODLE June stitched me! Isn't it lovely?! Thank you so much June for your beautiful gifts.💕

Dear Meganp, you left me a comment about "Super Bridget". I cannot reply directly to you, your contact information does not list an email. Please email me if would like the pattern.

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.  Matthew 7: 13-14

Thank you for your lovely birthday wishes my friends. 💕 I am so thankful for each and every one of you. I hope that you have a  great weekend!

Birthday

Hi friends! Yesterday was my birthday. We celebrated with family at my Mom's. I have fallen behind in sharing my cards and gifts from friends on the blog. These all arrived last week.

🎀 This perfectly pink birthday card came all the way from Germany from dear our friend Martina

Thank you Martina for remembering my birthday❣️ I love this beautiful pink card and pink bird❣️ 💗

🥳 And look what I got from our friend Carol

Thank you so very much dear Carol❣️ I truly LOVE this pattern❣️ I am so glad to own it now so I can stitch it for the cornershelf. 😁 And did you notice the wonderful PINK 🐩 card Carol made me? 🤩

📚 The Sanatorium is for you if you like murder mysteries. Great detective story under extreme circumstances and investigated by a detective on sick leave. Lots of twists and turns and misdirection. Truly had me guessing almost until the end. (And I did not want to put it down. Great treadmill material!🏃‍♀️) Guests are trapped in a new hotel in the Swiss Alps due to an avalanche then the murders start occurring. The epilogue was very intriguing, I assume there's more to come featuring the main character.

I am working on two things! I am creating a pillow out of the stitched piece I was gifted by Manuela AND I designed a patriotic poodle piece!! 🐩💖🤍💙 I REALLY  hope it turns out as cute as I envision it!

I had my cortisone shots. He gave me two. One at L1, one at L2. He said they can take up to 7 days to give relief. They are helping somewhat. I do not feel complete absence of pain(yet).

“All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Such an outpouring of love from so many of you, my dear sweet friends. I appreciate every single one of your birthday wishes filled with love for me. 💕💕💕

I hope and pray you have a wonderful week my friends!  Thank you for stopping by and saying hi!

JUNE

Hi friends! 🎂June Cubby Shelf Display

These are all stitched over one. Except the little June pillow on top.🍓 (That square space to the right of Murphy always stays open in hopes of a new toy poodle addition some day! Then Madeleine will paint that one's portrait as well.💗)

🎁 This pink birthday card and sweet charts are from our friend Georgia

Thank you dear Georgia for remembering me❣️ I look forward to stitching these.

🎀 While my actual birthday is on Sunday the 6th, I have received two more cards in the mail. 💌

The card on the right with the lovely birds and flowers is from our friend Robin Thank you Robin❣️ The beautiful pink cross stitching on the left is from our friend Manuela Manuela left the fabric loose on the inside of the card so I can finish the stitching into a pillow or as I please. I will be doing this shortly. Thank you Manuela❣️ It is perfect for me. 💗

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” Colossians 3:1

We will go to my Mom's house to celebrate my birthday with family this weekend. I hope and pray you all have a wonderful weekend.
