Thankful

Hi friends! I have owned a scrappy, tattered Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt top for many years. I got it for a song. Even so, I still did not have the 💗 to cut into it until last weekend! I forced myself. Seriously. It was hard to do! I made this table topper for my new chest of drawers and I love it!

It must have taken me 30 minutes to just find a usable piece in the top that had "enough pink" for me AND did not have holes!

🦃🍁🍂🥧👪🐩This is Lizzie Kate Thank stitched on the called for 32ct Light Mocha linen two over two with most of the called for DMC.

I want to THANK our friend Robin for the chart.💝 Since I did not have the called for charm, I used a poodle charm! I am thankful for poodles! I would like to offer this chart to one of my friends. If you would like this chart, you must be a sidebar follower of this blog. Leave a comment on this post stating you would like it. I will draw a name on Monday, December 7th.

I am finishing up the stitching on Jacob and Kristin's ornament. Then I will do the finishing on all four ornaments this week. I have to! I always gift them in everyone's St. Nick stockings.

“Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits”  Psalm 103:1-2

Winner

Hi friends! I have all three Cally ornaments stitched. (I am not stitching one for Jacob and Kristen.) I have to finish them off into ornaments yet, but I am safe in showing them to you here. None of the family checks my blog. Yes, I only took one picture. I really did stitch three!

HA! Don't you love it?! Maybe you need to see Cally again to appreciate the ornament.
This is a free pattern by Brooke's Books called Merry Christmas Grumpy Kitty. You can find it HERE
The original pattern is of Grumpy Kitty. I changed the pattern to look like our Cally. I stitched this with DMC, mostly of my own choosing obviously! This was stitched two over two on this lovely sparkly blue 32ct linen. I don't know the name, I lost the tag

🎄🐦🎁 Lizzie Kate Quick-it Sampling Christmas

I took a break from secret ornament stitching to stitch up this adorable pattern from my stash for the December pedestal stand. The bottom right hand corner of the pattern shows a blue mouse. I created a tiny white poodle with a pink bow of course!💗🐩🎀 This is stitched two over two on the called for 30 ct WDW mocha linen with DMC.

I am now stitching an ornament for Jacob and Kristen.

We have a winner for the LHN Hot Cocoa chart.

Stasi!😁 I will mail the chart to you this week my friend!

“Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” —Ephesians 5:6-8

Are you being safe my friends? Are you making hard decisions? It breaks my heart. We are NOT having Jacob and Kristen here for Thanksgiving. Actually, every year, we either go by my Mom's or my MIL's. We are NOT doing that this year. We are all staying by our own homes. BECAUSE WE CARE AND BECAUSE WE LOVE EACH OTHER AND WE WANT TO BE HERE FOR CHRISTMAS AND NEXT YEAR.  Friends, be smart. Be Safe. Happy Thanksgiving! God bless you!

Flowers of the Month

Hi friends!   I want to share two little finishes with you. I had them done since the beginning of the month, I just forgot to post them. 🙃

💠Flowers of the Month: November and December by Praiseworthystitches 💠Both of these patterns are from the current issue of JCS. Since I stitched them for my cubby shelf, I stitched mine one over one on 25ct linen, so I had to leave off the over one word at the bottom. I also skipped the border. I used DMC. I thoroughly enjoyed stitching all of the patterns in this series. They will look great on display in my cubby shelf every year.

I am now stitching Christmas ornaments for the family. They are Cally ornaments.😺 I have to tell everyone to not look. It is hard. Madeleine has only one class she actually attends at her University, otherwise it is all online here. I can't just stitch these while she works her part time job.

📚wOw! If you want to read a thriller that has a quietly sinister Nanny in it that totally reminded me of Annie from Stephen King's Misery,😱 here ya go! (No this book is not graphic and gory.) Jo is a young single mother who must move home to her mother in England after the sudden death of her husband. Her young daughter finds a skeleton in the lake on their property and her childhood Nanny reappears out of nowhere. Creepy book!😬

Here is a sweet chart given to me to give away by our friend Robin

If you would like this chart by LHN, "Hot Cocoa", all you need to do, is be a side bar follower of mine, leave a comment on this post stating you would like this chart, I must have your email to contact you, and I will draw a name by Monday, November 23rd.  This is open to anyone, anywhere.

I am praying for all of us my friends. It is so very unsafe here in the United States. Take care wherever you are my dear friends. I care about you! Be safe.  And thank you for praying for my family. Amy is home and recovering well.

November

Hi friends! We have been having really great weather here. In the low 70's and sunny. This is November?!

🦃🧡November Cubby Shelf Display🧡🦃 These are all stitched over one. Except the little November pillow on top

🍂❄️November freebie by romyfrees.blogspot.com❄️🍂

I came up with this design. The November design shows Halloween motifs? I stitched this two over two on 28ct using DMC. The fabric shown is the backing material.

🌻November Square Dance NOT REALLY BY HEART IN HAND!🌻

The November pattern is of pineapples and I just was not feeling it! Yes, I know. I changed the pattern again! This is the last time I am changing the pattern to something else!! What I did this time was use the current issue of JCS. If you turn to page 8 and 9 , you will see all of these motifs there. These are from Harvest Sampler by Jane Chandler of Not-so-plain Jane Designs. The only difference is, I made my oak leaves brown. This is stitched two over two with DMC and VMSS on 32ct mystery evenweave.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28:-30

Friends, I asked you last week to pray for my brother, and his four children who all had/have COVID. They seem to have recovered pretty well actually. Thank you so much for your prayers. I feel terrible that I did not include Amy in the prayer requests. Amy is my former SIL, my brother's ex-wife. She is asthmatic. She called David on Sunday from her backyard. They live only a few blocks from each other. Amy does not drive. She said she could not breathe. She has not recovered from COVID.  She asked him for help. He picked her up and took her to the Emergency Room of the hospital. They admitted her and she has pneumonia. Would you please pray for Amy? Thank you very much my friends. The COVID situation here in Wisconsin continues to be VERY BAD. It is spreading like wild fire.

I have a prayer request for you PLEASE! My brother David has contracted COVID from his workplace. Even worse, he passed it on to his four children. Will you please pray for them all. My nephew Nickolas is especially suffering. He is asthmatic and is having trouble breathing. Thank you my friends.
