Little Henry

 Hi friends.

🐩Little Henry🐩

I had been planning to make an "animal cracker-type Henry" before he died, I just did not get to it fast enough. 😢 I have been restricted by my doctor from stitching for almost all of August, due to the bicep tendonitis. I stitched Henry with my left hand. When there is a will, there is a way. It comforted me to create and make this.

I created this little pattern to look like Henry when he was a bit younger. He used to do a trick. I asked him to do "Up top." He would stand on his hind legs like this and barely tap my hands with his front paws. 🐾🥺 Oh Henry. I miss you so.

🧵I stitched Henry two over two on 32ct Marbled Bunny linen with DMCs. I used Marbled Bunny for the back also. It is filled with wood shavings from Emerson. Henry stands 3 1/2 inches top to bottom. Tiny. Just like him. 💗

The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

Be acceptable in Your sight,

O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.  Psalm 19:1,14

Thank you for your compassion and support and friendship and prayers. God bless you.

Little Henry

💔This is my favorite dog I have ever owned in my life, and we have had quite a few now. He had a a grand mal seizure that was too much for him. My little buddy, my bestest buddy suffers no more.

💐Eleanor Rigby and Sweet Baby💐by Blackbird Designs

I had Eleanor Rigby with a grey linen and all the called for flosses in a drawer, waiting for Henry's passing for a very long time. Once he passed, Brian, Madeleine and I agreed that it was too dark for our little Henry. As Madeleine said, "He was such a happy little boy." So I stitched Sweet Baby instead. Very fitting for Henry. 🐩

🧵I used a 40ct mystery linen from my stash and all of the called for GA threads. I used DMC for Henry.

I have begun the hunt for a special frame.

I have been wondering ever since Henry's death if he is in Heaven. I have found this video extremely comforting and accurate.

Howdy!

Any other Hee Haw people out there or is it just me? This is one program I remember us watching as a family.

So.....Why have I been missing almost 9 months? Various reasons, but mainly because ever since I did the micro punch needle in the Spring to make those pansies(anyone remember those?), I now have tennis elbow, bicep tendonitis, and well, I have had a small tear for years in my rotator cuff. This is all on my dominate, right side. Of course it would be best to stop stitching all together, but I am not going to do that. I had a steroid ultrasound guided injection in my bicep and that did not work. I can have it again in two months. I had one in my rotator cuff last week. That helped. I use lidocaine patches on my shoulder front and upper bicep to get by. If the next injection in the bicep does not work, I will have an MRI.

This is the project I just finished last night.🦅250th Celebration🦅by Teresa Kogut. The pattern and awesome drum were birthday gifts from my friend Deb.

If you also would like this patriotic drum, the shop is called TheOldeSapBucket on Etsy. They have six different patriotic varieties of stripes and stars in blue, red and cream.

🧵I stitched this one over two on 40ct lambswool linen with some of the called for and some of my own choices. The drum made this finish so easy. I had the twine I used around the top in my stash. It coordinates with the twine on the drum.

I am working a few more patriotic stitches right now.

I am not going to make promises on how soon I will be back here. I will make an effort.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1John 2:6

Hopefully I still have a few friends stop by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
