Here is a darling little Easter finish I have to share with you.

I stitched this tiny little pattern for my cubby shelf. This is called "Easter Egg Robin" by Kitty & Me Designs and you can find this pattern and more freebies HERE I have stitched both of the robin patterns now. I think they are adorable! Robins are Wisconsin's state bird. Thank you Pamela for designing these!!

🐇Mr. Rabbit🐇

Hi friends! Here is my Easter finish. "Mr. Rabbit".

Isn't he absolutely darling? I just fell in love with him and knew I had to stitch him as soon as I finished my last project. I stitched this on 32ct Baby Lotion linen and then backed it with Rhubarb velveteen by Lady Dot Creates. 

I affectionately call this finish Peter Cottontail!🐇 The designer calls him Mr. Rabbit. The designer is Maria Brovko and you can find this FREE pattern on her facebook page.

I finished another autograph for my brother's 🎶Bluegrass Bibs🎶

I have a question for you friends. Were you ever required in school to read The Scarlet Letter? I know I was back in grade school. I do believe it was 5th grade. I had this idea in my head recently to listen to the book after so many years. So I borrowed an audio book from my library. Wow! I was so surprised. They place the grade level of reading for this book at 11.7!! 🤯 WHAT?!  I was 10 years old when I read this folks! I remember reading this in public school. Which of course made me ask my kids if they read this. No they did not. My three went to private Christian schools. They never heard of this book. Do they still teach this book? I admit it takes some concentration in the beginning to get into it. YES, it does. How sad is that.  Shows how my mind was back then. Uncorrupted I guess.
In Nathaniel Hawthorne's dark novel, The Scarlet Letter, a single sinful act ruins the lives of three people. None more so than Hester Prynne, a young, beautiful, and dignified woman, who conceived a child out of wedlock and receives the public punishment of having to always wear a scarlet "A" on her clothing. She refuses to reveal the father of her child, which could lighten her sentence. Her husband, the aptly-named Roger Chillingworth, who Hester thought had died in a shipwreck but was actually being held captive by Native Americans, arrives at the exact moment of her deepest public shaming and vows to get revenge. Her lover, Arthur Dimmesdale, remains safely unidentified, but is wracked with guilt. Though originally published in 1850, the story is set in seventeenth-century Massachusetts among Hawthorne's Puritan ancestors. In The Scarlet Letter, he created a story that highlighted both their weaknesses and their strengths. His knowledge of their beliefs and his admiration for their way of life was balanced by his concerns about their rigid and oppressive rules.

I hope to be back on Orthodox Easter with a small Easter finish.

This should be very interesting. Our Easter service begins at 11:30 p.m. Saturday evening and goes until 3:00 a.m. Sunday.  The interesting part is we are expecting a low of about 26 degrees then WITH SNOW!❄️Lots of snow. 3 to 6 inches of it!❄️Did I mention we process around the church? I will let you know if we still do that!!

Hi friends! HAPPY EASTER!

I did get the Poodle Parade magnets finished for Mary and Jim, my senior friends at the nursing home. And Henry and I took the magnets to them on Saturday for a visit. They loved them of course!

And now I must apologize! I completely forgot about the Lizzie Kate giveaway because of the Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop on Friday. I did not realize they would end up on the same day. I had three people enter their names for the LK Flip It Blocks With Charm April pattern (no charm). I wrote down all three names, folded the strips of paper, shook them up in my hand and had Henry choose! That is right! Henry. He sniffed and with his nose he pushed..... MANUELA  right out of my hand. So Manuela, I have your address and I will mail this pattern to you my friend!😊

Rhys Bowen is one of my favorite authors. This was a very good novel. I just thoroughly enjoyed it!

This is Lamb Egg/Lämmer-Ei by Elisa Tortonesi-Sieß. I stitched this one over one on 28ct Wichelt Monet Blue linen with DMC.

Do you remember these? I remember these from my childhood.

I found the ribbon at Hobby Lobby. It made me instantly think of the frosting that was piped around these eggs. I glued a piece of white paper to the backside of the plain cardboard egg shape for the back piece. I then glued on a double layer of white sparkle mesh. 

I am very happy with this finish. It reminds me of the sugar eggs.😊

I stitched this one over one on 25ct light rose lugana with DMC. The Wildling Sisters by Eve Chase was one of those books that has two story lines going at one time. I much preferred the historical story in this tale, it was very good.

Have any of you read this book?😱 WOW! This book is not fiction folks! It's a story of a REAL PSYCHOPATH! I had bad dreams for a few days during this book, not gonna lie to you. The information about the World Fair is very interesting, but I will be honest here, it dragged a bit for me.

Hi friends! Let me show you the completed Poodle Parade magnet.

This is the plastic canvas project I worked on for Jim, my senior friend at the nursing home, that Henry and I visit. I will be making another one for Mary. Soon! And then I will make one more for myself, and then I will be done with plastic canvas. I do NOT enjoy working with it!
