Moonlight Visitor

Hi friends! I finished the next sampler block of my Anniversaries of the Heart sampler. Here is Moonlight Visitor!
As you can see, this block is for Brian.

This is stitched one over one on 25ct cream Dublin linen using DMC. I changed many of their suggested DMC, because once again, the ones they suggest do NOT match the picture on the pattern cover at all! So I did a floss toss til I found floss that matched.
Changes had to be made since I am stitching one over one. Not everything fits when you are stitching these up tiny!  The dog is missing and so is the date they had put in the upper left corner. I put Brian's birth year where the dog went.

This is how the whole sampler looks now.
I will take this back out again next month to stitch up the next block. Jacob is up next!

I am going to stitch up a cute little freebie I just stumbled across yesterday morning. It is not a new one at all. It will work very nicely for my cubby shelf though. Maybe you would like to stitch it too? This is what I will be working on today. Have a look HERE. I will leave you guessing as to what colors I will choose to stitch with.😉

As soon as I finish that little freebie, I will begin the February wreath for my cubby shelf. That way it will be completed and ready for display on the first day of the month.

What are you stitching?

Thank you for stopping by today. I am so glad you did.

We are expecting a little more snow tonight. Just enough to pretty things up again.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie
(Looks just like me and Murphy right?)

Vickie, Anniversaries is beautiful, love how you added Brian's name and birthyear to your latest block. Thanks for the freebie link. And, yes, that is you and Murphy!!!

Hi Vicky,
again such a beautiful block, and above the house a huge butterfly. Wow, and the overall picture just looks fantastic.
What I work? Today on my spring sampler and on Wednesday with the next section of my coffee towel.

Great sampler - very pretty block!
I'm still stitching away on the stocking I did not finish for my friend's daughter. So many floss changes - I'm starting to doubt I will even finish it this month.

Another great addition. What is the finished size of this piece done over one?

I'm glad you like and trust this doctor. Anxious to see his recommendation.

Your finished block looks really nice Vickie! I've been absent from blogland for about a week while I was attending rug hooking camp. Tis the season of wool you know ! Thanks again for the SB giveaway - such a cute design. Many thanks and continued prayers for a solution for your pain problem. Have a great week - mel

What a lovely block for Brian, Vickie! You are really coming along on this huge project. I had no idea you had done so many blocks until I saw your photo of it to date--well done! I know changing colors isn't easy and can be quite time consuming, but you are doing a wonderful job with this!

Cute freebie, too :)

Hi Vickie...
How lovely your sampler is! Your latest block is just stunning and the colors you chose are beautiful! I so want to stitch this but Grandmother’s House from TIAG is absolutely GOING to be finished this year as well as Christmas stockings! Oh yes did I mention maybe a quilt or two that I have started that I would also like to work on...and...and...and...oh yes so many projects that make my heart smile!

I hope you have a great weekend! I had treatment on Friday so my energy level is still low but an email is coming soon...lol!

Sending hugs and love!

Your tiny stitches are just amazing! And such a pretty block! I think I must have missed a few posts because I didn't know you had completed so many blocks. I'm not sure what colors you will be using for the freebie, but I would possibly expect to see some pink? : ) I'm working on Forest Snowfall by CCN.

Your sampler is so beautiful. I have all of those patterns waiting to be done, I must remember to think about the colour though as you are not the first person to say that the colours don't match. x

Gorgeous work on Brian's Block. I have this image of him coming to your Mum's house in the late evening to throw pebbles at your window so you could lean out and talk to him after your curfew!
Maybe with a ladder under his arm to persuade you to elope with him!

Wow, your Moonlight Visitor sounds a lot like my Dearie and Darling. I have put that one away until I can figure out what to design for the top left corner. She’s all done otherwise. It looks like I’ll have His Eye is on the Sparrow out for a while and I’m thrilled.
