Easter Blog Hop 2015

Hi friends! Hello to new friends! I am glad to have you here.
Today's post is all about the Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop 2015. I have been taking part of Jo's Blog Hops for several years now. If you do not know what I am talking about, have a look HERE. That link will take you to Jo's blog. She has a list of all the participants blogs in order. You just need to visit everyone on the list in order to retrieve a letter. Write the letters down in order, and you will come up with a short Easter Phrase. You then return to Jo's blog and receive the last letter and you need to comment there telling her the phrase. You just may win her giveaway!

I stitched this piece, called Spring String by Lizzie Kate, last month. Sorry to say I still have not done the finishing on it. I will! Soon. I have just been very busy making gift after gift for special sharing friends!

I did stitch some spiderweb roses in pale pink on a pink burlap wired ribbon yesterday. I was feeling very painful and not very happy yesterday, due to the cortisone shot I just received in my left hip joint. So I decided to make the concrete Mabel on the front porch a Springtime bow. Henry's dapper bunny bowtie is still in good shape. Mabel's bow from last year faded out terribly from the sun.
The letter you have come to retrieve here is E. You now must go visit our friend Anne to find your next letter in the phrase. Have fun!

Thanks for stopping in today! Leave me a message please. I love to meet new friends! I always want to hear from old friends! :)

My pain is slightly less today. I would be happy to just return to how I was pre-shot at this point.

A Blessed Easter to you!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop

Good Morning friends! I am taking part in the Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop this year. You can learn all about it, and find out where the Hunt begins, by going to Jo's blog. Each of us in the Hunt are sharing an Easter or Spring stitched finish with you. Here is mine.
I stitched this when I was 18 years old. :) This is simply titled "May", because it is from God's In His Heaven, a pattern book by Gloria & Pat. There is a different pattern for each month of the year. I had this framed about 10 years after I stitched it. Then it hung in Madeleine's room for many years.

Each of us participating in this Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop were assigned a letter. If you visit Jo's blog to find out where to begin, then you can hop from blog to blog, collecting letters as you go. You will end up with the Mystery Phrase. :) My letter is  S. You need to visit Gracie's blog next to continue on in order, and solve the mystery!

I will be back on Easter to share two finishes with you. I took a break from Theotokos to make two Easter projects. They involve cross stitch, embroidery and sewing.
If I don't hear from you for a while, I want to wish you a Blessed Easter right now!

Beading and praying,
Vickie

Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop

Hi friends! I hope you are well. My pain has been decreasing. Yay! And the sun is out! Yay! And the snow and ice are melting because it is in the 50's for the past few days! Yay! ;)

I am happy to be taking part in the Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop. You can find out all about it here. I had another Easter stitch planned to show you from last year. Instead I am going to show you the stitch I just completed 2 days ago.
I took a picture of it like this because I am working on the finish. I am going to make it into a framed flatfold. I need to get to JoAnn for some backing fabric. This Pascal Lamb is a freebie you can find here. I stitched Him two over two on 36ct Light Sand Edinburgh linen.

If you are a Treasure Hunter looking for the next letter to solve the Mystery Phrase, my letter for you is "N". And now you need to go visit Kevin!

When I ran out of the DMC 746 for the above Pascal Lamb, I stitched up another quicker freebie in the mean time. I stitched this on plastic canvas, because it is a self portrait for Winky's cage. ;)
This "birdie freebie" can be found here. I changed it a little to look like Winky. =) I think he loves it.

Now I want to show you a surprise RAK that came in the mail the other day.
SWEETNESS!! Isn't it just adorable?!  Did you see the message on the box? ;) This is from Shirlee. What a sweetheart. Thank you my friend.♥ I love them.

I am currently sewing. It is supposed to be a fabric bucket to put Mabel's toys in. The current toy basket is over 20 years old. It has seen better days. Hope to finish this up quick. Of course it is not going smoothly really. =(

If you celebrate today by going to church, then I hope you have a very meaningful Good Friday worship service.

Take care my friends. In case I am not back before Easter:
