Valentine Stitching

Hi friends! I need to share my February decorations with you. 💌💕February Corner Shelf💕💌

💖He First Loved Us💖by Sweet Wing Studio  I am glad to share this message with all of my IG friends. It has it's new home in my cubby shelf.

I stitched this two over one on 25 ct Antique White linen with DMC 115.

💕Be Mine💕from Love Is In The Air by Blackbird Designs
I followed Carol Mundle's stocking finishing instructions. Got better at it this month. Still not perfect. All threads, linen and fabric from my stash.

I stitched this two over two on 40ct! I never did that before. Never intend to again. I had my mind on other things and had too much stitched before I realized what I was doing. It worked out fine and looks good actually.
I used the DMC alternatives and GA Pink Azalea and Colour and Cotton Ballet Slippers.

I am still stitching Valentine pieces. I cannot help myself. Are you also stitching Valentine pieces?

Our local stitch group meets this Thursday. We will exchange our Round Robin samplers then, so I will then work on that sampler. Have you ever stitched a Round Robin piece? This is my first.

I am having a giveaway for this pattern.
The specialty threads are included.
The giveaway is open to my American friends only this time due to postage. I am sorry about that. You need to be a sidebar follower of mine. You need to leave a comment on this post stating that you would like to enter this giveaway. I will draw the name of the winner on Friday, February 17th (my late Father's birthday).

He is despised and rejected by men,

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;

He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Isaiah 53:3-4

I do hope you are having mild weather. We are expecting rain and snow mix on Thursday, our cross stitch meet up day. 😒 I hope it just ends up being rain. We have several ladies that drive at least 30 minutes. They will not enjoy driving in snow!! I would not!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week!

Vickie,

Your latest stocking is just lovely, Vickie! I've never attempted that finish--a bit scared of it to be honest! Your February decor looks so cute--lots of pink and poodles! Enjoy your day ♥

Your corner shelf looks awesome, Vickie. Your new piece for your cubby is precious. Well done on your stocking finish! I have stitched in round robins before, but not like how the one you are doing with your stitch group.

So many beautiful decorations on your corner shelf. And your new pattern is beautiful too. But my highlight is the stocking, you did a great job on it.
Yes, I have already sewn 2 round robins in the embroidery forum and I designed a sampler, and it was sent from one to the next. I love it.
It's freezing cold here, but at least the sun is shining a bit.
Enjoy your meeting in the stitchy group.

I like your two new finishes very much.
It is cold and sunny. No snow or rain at the moment.
Enjoy the time with your stitching group on Thursday.

Your Heart's day display is so pretty. What a fabulous collection you have.
I am working on my collections, and I like the smalls as they are easy to store away for the holidays. I am enjoying your blog. I been organizing my blog reader, I like blogs as they seem so much more personal and we can see the content we choose not what some huge company decides we should see.

Love that stocking! I've stitched and assembled one stocking. Have patterns for several more that I need to move to the top of my “need to stitch next” pile. The snowman giveaway is such a cute pattern!

Another fabulous corner display. You have so many lovely smalls, especially in pink and red!
The new stocking is gorgeous, two over two must be very lush and dense.
Looking forward to seeing the Round Robin. I used to do a lot of those, band samplers, Mirabilia, Joan Elliott etc but time and postage saw the end of that. It’s important to stitch with people who you know and trust to fulfil their side of the bargain too.

I love your displays, so much love... and pink! He First Loved Us is a lovely addition to your shelf.
Oooh, your stocking looks great, especially over two on 40! Sure you won't do it again?
I hope the weather was ok for your stitching time and you were able to do your RR exchanging.
