☘️🍀March Corner Shelf🍀☘️

Hi friends! Here is the ☘️🍀March Corner Shelf🍀☘️

In the first week of December I hurt my back. I was talking to Brian, sitting at my laptop at the table. I was turned in my seat, with my left elbow over the back of the chair. He was in the kitchen talking. When he was done talking to me, he walked toward me and behind me. It is a tight space. He walked into my elbow(by accident) pushing it backward. I felt immediate pain up my back and also felt a small pop in my spine. I have had pain since. I gave in and went to the doctor on Christmas Eve. She did x-rays which just showed arthritis. She said I would need an MRI to show a disc herniation. I held off on the MRI, but began the physical therapy a few weeks later. I have been doing PT since.

I had the MRI last week. It showed I have three bulged discs. This is better than herniated discs. I am not in horrid pain constantly. Sleep is bad. So is bending and lifting.

At my second to last session (the last one, we just talked) with my physical therapist, she  pushed on my spine. I was thinking in my head, she must know what she is doing. ?? I was barely able to speak for the pain. I did say out loud to her, That hurts so bad. It feels like a VERY BAD BRUISE RIGHT ON MY SPINE. She stopped after 20 seconds, I would say. I have had worse pain since that session.  I have not been THIS bad for the last months. And thank God the MRI was after that. Or I would be wondering. She must have truly aggravated the nerves. I just hope and pray it settles down and goes away??

I did see my neurosurgeon. NOT hoping to have surgery. I was hoping for advice on what to do for the pain. I see in hindsight, that was a mistake to go to him. I first saw his PA. She gave me time, but  did not feel that my pain should be coming from my discs! UNREAL! She wanted me to believe that it was from my muscles. Kept poking and prodding my muscles to the sides of my spine. Uh, no, those DO NOT hurt. The doctor gave me little more than 5 minutes in the room. That has changed since I saw him last. How sad. Who wants to be rushed through like cattle? I started to explain to him, and got, "I know, I know. Ashley already told me." Rude. Don't like it. I was told to follow up with my primary care doctor and continue with PT. So going to him was wrong. I do have another session with my physical therapist this week. I will see what she says, but I am not sure how much more she can so for me. I am doing my exercises at home daily. The self traction (grasping the edge of the bed in the downward dog position) and doing press ups several times a day are the only way I make it at this point.

I am now working on the finishing on an LK piece.

Please pray for me!

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” —2 Corinthians 12:8-9

Thank you for taking the time to read this and more importantly, thank you for caring.💕 God bless you. I hope you have a very good week my friends.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

I always enjoy reading your blog, and love to see your lovely stitching. Your March cubby shelf looks great! I'm so sorry to hear about your awful issues with back pain. I hope you will be able to find a physician who can help, and relief from your pain, soon! I have been praying for you since I read your previous post and will continue to do so. Take care.

Continuing to pray for you. What a wonderful Bible verse to meditate on during times of pain, distress, and struggles. His grace is indeed sufficient. ❤️

Oh sweet friend. I have been praying for you since I read on IG about your back being in pain. I will now pray for you to be led to better doctors and for your pain to ease. It is truly hard to find a good doctor anymore. He was rude. I totally dislike the way some doctors hurry you along and just don't listen. I have you in my prayers dear friend. I just love all your stitchy finishes. Your display is lovey. The Praise God piece is awesome! I wish you many blessings and pray your pain eases soon. ((hugs))

Vickie: Your March Sampler is adorable, now with the weather getting warmer the birds are really singing.
Oh my goodness the March with the poodles is so adorable.
I love the Kiss Me poodle.
All your decorating is perfect.
I am so sorry about your back and pain, I am not sure how I would react to the doctor not wanting to spend time with me.
I am not a fan of PA's I prefer a specialist doctor.
Have a wonderful week.

Vickie, So sorry about your back pain. It's so frustrating when doctors try to rush you through and not listen to what you're saying. Sometimes it's best to just listen to your body and, perhaps, get another opinion, if warranted. Hope things ease up for you.
On another note, your March shelf looks very green!!! :)

Vickie, your Corner shelf looks so festive for St.Patricks Day and the month of March. I am keeping you in my prayers. I sure hope you find relief soon, it's horrible having constant pain, it effects your disposition as much as you try for it not to. I would have been very upset with that Dr. He was rude and not compassionate at all.

I always enjoy seeing the new display each month, there's so many sweet finishes and to play Spot the Poodle too!
Sorry to hear about the health problems. You would think you'd get better service the amount they charge you! Hope you can get some relief soon.

Your March stitching is great! I am so sorry about your problems and of course I will pray for you. Both my DH and I have seen doctors since covid and have been rushed through. I don't know why. These are doctors we have had for a long time. Not good!!!!

Love the March shelves, all the stitching looks great. It sounds to me like you may need to find someone to give you a second opinion regarding your back. How can Ashley tell you where the pain is coming from? If it is not her pain then she doesn't really know, does she? I am sorry you are going thru this so I hope you can find someone who will listen to you and give you the attention you deserve.

I can feel the pain coming from your words, Vickie--I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I will certainly keep you in my prayers as you continue to heal. I know you are a great patient about doing your stretches and exercises and that is half the battle.

Love seeing all the green appearing at this time of year--it really seems special this year after our long dark Covid year. Things are getting better--hope you can get your vaccine very soon. Take extra good care now ♥

First, I am sorry I have not been visiting... I will do better. Second, Oh No...more pain to deal with. Doctors can be so rude. I just started with a new PCVP and a Cardiologist and both ...so far... have been very attentive. Sending positive wishes that you will feel better soon my friend.

Your back pain sounds dreadful and it can be so slow to mend (speaking from experience). I hope and pray that it starts to improve. Hugs.
I love the March poodles on your corner shelf.
