Unstitchin'

Hi friends! Argh! Unstitching on the 'Bethlehem Scene'. Can't believe it got so messed up. sigh. I think it is because I have stitched this 6 times now. I don't think I was careful enough. Darn it! Now I have to try and fudge some too. I need to figure out if I can, otherwise I will just keep putting wasted hours into it. So disappointing.

Well, I did get Mary's Sampler done and up to date now.
Here's a picture of pretty Miss Mabel. She doesn't care about the Green Bay Packer loss or my Bethlehem Mess.
Unstitching and restitching and definitely praying,
Vickie

Awwww, Mabel has such a sweet face. Love your Mary progress. What a bummer about the Bethlehem scene though. Ugh. I hate having to rip out stitches. :(

I have a few projects that I didn't have the courage to unstitch..I really hate when this happens...sorry to hear that.

On the other hand, your Mary's sampler looks gorgeous, congrats!

Miss Mabel is a cuttie :D

I wish you a nice week!

Aaawww.....sweet Mabel!! I was bummed about the Packers too ~ especially since my oldest was rubbing it in that his Eagles won! Been there, done that on the frustrating stitching ~ hope you get it figured out! Love Mary's sampler ~ I do believe I'll be stitching this one as soon as I can get some black linen.

Packer fans here from forever ago. My brother as a seven year old, got Bart Starr's autograph when we stood in line at a restaurant with a neighbor's of Bart's. That made him a Packer Fan for Life. My nephew's middle name is Brett (after Farve!).

I'm right there with you Vickie. I spent over 2 hours yesterday stitching pine cones on a design ... lots of color changes which I normally avoid. Some of the symbols are very close in appearance & I'm sure you can guess what happened ... I used the wrong colors! I have to frog them today & start again ... sigh!

I.know.the.feeling!!!! I'll say that I have had to do some unstitching on EVERY SINGLE project I've ever done. Because of some careless mistake that I couldn't blend in. Its frustrating, but at the same time, it also ends up looking better once you've fixed the problem. I just finished a project!!! I am very excited about it. That was a lot of detailing to do. And now I realize it is an odd size that will need to be custom framed. but its for a special person so worth it! I think your piece looks really pretty.

Unstitching is always so frustrating. That's why I always do it immediately when I can sort out where the mistake was made.
Your SAL looks so great!

Sorry about the frogging! I had to do a bit of that myself on Mary's Sampler II. Your sampler looks beautiful!

Hope that you found a way to fix it! I'm not in much of a stitching mood, so I won't mess with it... Hugs!

Well done thou you had to chase the frogs away a bit there.
I think Mabel sense that she should stay away while you are attending the frogs, LOL ! She's sweet.
