Hi friends! Well that was a long blogging break. Our one and only daughter Madeleine came home from Hawaii for a month, and I took a social media break.
McKinley Marina in Milwaukee, on Lake Michigan. |
You may notice from the pictures it was a cool May. Miss Madeleine is getting used to Hawaii's very warm, humid weather! 🏝️Notice she is wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants in every picture??😂 She stayed home for a month. And we miss her terribly again. Cally, our Himalayan was glued to her. Henry was very happy to see her. Interestingly, Flossie was leery of her at first. That made Madeleine cry. Flossie came around.
I found this beautiful frame at Hobby Lobby and Emerson cut it to size for me. I stretched it and mounted it myself.
This is Snow Bird by La D Da. I made this little bird as a birthday gift for our friend Robin
This pattern can be found in the 2004 JCS Christmas Ornament Issue.
🧵Stitched on the backside of 40ct Vintage Country Mocha with DMC. Handmade cording, and backed with a floral black cotton from my stash.
☁️Ascension☁️
🧵I stitched this one over one with DMC 413 on mystery hand-dyed blue 32ct linen. I edged the pinkeep with grey velvet ribbon.
Georgian Floral Basket by Judy Whitman.
I changed the color of the tiny blue flowers to match the originals in the antique.
🧵Stitched one over one on 28ct Cashel Bo Peep Pink with the called for DMC
I am patriotic stitching right now.
But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:33
Thank you to those of you who checked in on me. God bless you. 💕Can't say when I will post next, but it won't be such a long time again! Take care my friends!
Stitching and praying,
Vickie
See you next time! |

I am glad you were able to spend time with your daughter while she was in from Hawaii. Your stitched finishes are all fabulous, dear Vickie. I love my bird. I am sorry about the group you left, but you have to do what is best for you. But I am glad to hear that you have started another group. Thinking of you.

Hi my lovely ,
How wonderful to spend time with your daughter.
Hope you both had a lovely time.
You always get this at clubs , one or two spoil it.
But you have done the right thing.
We like to love one another, no room for being nasty.
Have a lovely week , hugs June.
We all missed you, but spending a month with your daughter is more important. Glad you are back.
Great stitched pieces, & I can't wait to see your Fair entries with ribbons! Love that JBW piece!

So glad your dear daughter was able to get home for a month, Vickie! How much longer does she have in her library science program? I had to chuckle at the photo of you two with your mom--she is so short compared to you both. I'd be down there with her, too :)
Beautiful stiching and framing! That teeny JBW piece is so sweet in the wee frame. I'm sorry that there was such drama in your stitching group. Good for you for holding on to your principles and stepping away. I hope your new group brings you peace. Enjoy these last few days of June! ♥
Familytime is so precious... love the little basket with roses ❤️... and a biblevers spoke to me... so bless you for sharing them...
