Hi friends! Today we are expecting a winter storm soon. Our area will receive 2 to 4 inches of snow, sleet, and ice. It would not be so bad if we were not headed out, but we are taking Auntie Kathy to an appointment today.
She needs prayer my friends. We are deeply concerned that cancer may have returned. She has experienced some vaginal bleeding for the last few weeks. She originally had colon cancer two and a half years ago. Brian and I would never venture out in this weather, but she needs to be seen. We just cannot cancel on her. Brian is a very safe driver and they have hyped up this storm so much, I feel they will be salting the roads very well. Please pray for our safe travels too. Thank you!
This is Our Lasting Friendship by Blackbird Designs.
This is my friend RoseAnn's sampler. Eight of us in our local cross stitch group are doing a round robin with this pattern. I just completed the "March" stitching on this/RoseAnn's sampler last night. I especially love the center flowers.

I stitched this free pattern two over two on 32ct white evenweave with the DMC and hand-dyed, but one over two with the Wisper. I used everything from my stash.
The bow was stitched with Stitchy Stuff in Bubblegum Blast. 🤩 This floss was a gift from our friend Robin Thanks Robin! It is gorgeous!
Isn't this bunny darling? I just had to take a break from samplers when I spotted this free pattern. I knew I wanted to use Wisper, so I was NOT going to stitch him itty bitty. 🥴😵

I am now stitching a March BBD stocking. Are you stitching March themed pieces? Or are you stitching Spring? Or Easter?
📚🎧I am going to give you the quick review off the back of the book since it is perfect.
In 1940, Corrie ten Boom was living with her father and sister above their watch shop in Haarlem when their country was invaded. Armed with the gift of their faith and their belief in doing what was right, this devoutly Christian family provided sanctuary for persecuted Jews. Before long, the Nazis captured Corrie and her family and sent them to a concentration camp, where Corrie lost both her sister and father.
As you can see from the photo, this book is considered a sequel to The Hiding Place, which I read many years ago and I highly recommend! Actually I highly recommend ANYTHING written by this beautiful soul. She was such a devoted evangelist. She traveled the world for the Lord. I now ordered Corrie Ten Boom's Prison Letters from my library. I think that will be a very interesting and encouraging read.
I will leave you with a final quote from Corrie from this book.
“Although the threads of my life have often seemed knotted, I know, by faith, that on the other side of the embroidery there is a crown. As I have walked the world—a tramp for the Lord—I have learned a few lessons in God’s great classroom.”
