Valentine Stitching

Hi friends! It is REALLY COLD HERE! 🥶 The daytime temperatures are in the single digits and the nighttime temperatures are below zero. Let's just say none of us enjoy it that much. Especially little Henry. We do put his little coat on him that I made him, but after he does "his duty", he is holding his little paws up in the air, begging to be picked up.

👩‍🍳I spent Saturday morning baking. With the frigid temperatures, it seemed a good morning for homemade cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting.

You do not want to know how much 🧈butter goes into these. I wish I did not. I think that is why I have not made them in 10 years? 🤷‍♀️ But oh, the taste! Oh the smell!

💌💘💗💕🐩February Cubby Shelf Display🐩💕💗💘💌

These are all stitched over one. Except the little February pillow on top.

💘Holiday Hoopla-Valentine’s Day by With Thy Needle & Thread💘

I changed a few shades of DMC.💗 I have most of the Holiday Hoopla patterns and plan to display them the same way. Hanging from the lovely 153 year old glass door knob that is just feet from my stitching spot. These lovely old doors are one of the first things I noticed in this apartment.🥰 The wonderful red bow with hearts and crystals on wire trimming is something I have been saving (hording) since Brian gave me a gift 🎁 of Sprungli chocolates💝 that he ordered from Switzerland, about twenty years ago! I thought it was too pretty to throw out and always thought I could use it for something. HA! Never imagined this! It works perfectly!

I am now stitching another Valentine piece.

📚 I have another really good book recommendation for you friends. This one was so different from others than I have read. In a very good way! Emmeline lives on a remote island with her scientist father, who teaches her about the natural world through her senses. "Fragrance conjures memories capable of shaping the course of our lives." It is truly a fascinating way of looking at things. There is a LOT more to the story. Look it up!

I hope you have a super week my friends! Stay warm!! We are trying to.🧣🧥

“Godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6

Stitching and praying,

Vickie

Your cubby shelf for Valentine and your new Valentine stitching with the angle looks great. I love them.
Your rolls looks yummy, but I don't eat cinnamon.
Here it is cold, too.
Have a nice week my friend. Manuela

Your cubby is so pretty for February.
I baked some dutch oven bread & brownies yesterday to warm up the house more.
I love the Hoopla piece.
Sometimes I save nice ribbons or bows too.
Stay warm.

Your cubby is looking so pretty and full! Isn't it funny how you keep something for years and then suddenly you have just the right use for it! The red bow and the little cupid are just adorable. We are getting our coldest weather of the season here in the NW. Not nearly as cold as you but very cold for us. Highs in the upper teens. For an area that rarely goes below 32 that is cold! Thanks for another book idea!

Oh yes, it's cold here at the moment, minus degrees all night and during the day too. little snow and hardly any sun.
I like your Valentine's motif very much and a great finish.
Have a good Time, Martina

The February cubby display looks great! As does the ribbon, this is why we don't throw things out!

Oh, those cinnamon buns look luscious first thing in the morning, Vickie! We make our homemade ones every Christmas morning--very fattening and non-healthy, but--it's tradition!

Your cupid turned out darling--lovely that you used the saved ribbon. I save every piece of ribbon that comes into my house 'cause you just never know when you might use it :) Pink abounds in February--I'm sure you are in your element! ♥

Love the Valentine Hoopla! I have never seen those designs before. That is a beautiful doorknob! The display case looks awesome with all your pieces in it. Henry sounds pretty smart to ask to get up and out of the snow. I remember those days and do not miss them one little bit! Stay warm.

I thought it was cold here, but BRRR for you! Smart boy that Henry, do it and be done.
Your cinnamon bun looks delicious, every ten years certainly can't hurt?!
February's cubby shelf looks wonderful, so much to love in it.
I don't remember see the Holiday Hoopla anywhere else before, February is perfect for you and even better that you got to finally use the bow you saved.
I just added The Scent Keeper, now to actually listen to it.

My mum's poodle sounds like Henry as he hates the cold as well.
I like your latest Valentine stitch.
