Stitchin'

Hi friends! I would like to share my recent finishes with you.
🍀☘️March freebie by romyfrees.blogspot.com☘️🍀I am stitching this whole cute series. Only problem is that the months are in Italian. That's okay. Just requires a bit of ingenuity to make it all work and fit.😉 I perched this on top of the cubby shelf. I stitched this two over two on 28ct white Jubilee using VMSS flosses and DMC. The fabric shown is the backing material.
🐦March Square Dance by Heart in Hand stitched two over two with DMC on 32ct mystery evenweave.🐦
And while I am at it, I will show you the entire corner shelf display for the month of March.
I also completed these two finishes for the cubby shelf. 💐Flowers of the Month: March & April by Praiseworthystitches. 💐 Both of these patterns are from the current issue of JCS. Since I stitched them for my cubby shelf, I stitched mine one over one on 25ct cream and antique white linen, so I had to leave off the over one word at the bottom. I also skipped the border. I used DMC and VMSS.
Our dear friend Robin gifted me with this lovely pattern. This is a pattern I longed for. And Robin is a sweetheart!!💗
I have plans to make it look more like our new cat Cally.🐱 THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN ROBIN!

Our friend Georgia gifted me with patterns also. I took pictures of the patterns, and like a dunce, I deleted the pictures! I am stitching up one of the lovely patterns right now. It is Quaker Easter Egg by Bent Creek. I absolutely love it! I hope to finish it soon.🥰

I had an MRI on Monday. And an EMG on Tuesday. Have you ever had an EMG? 🥺 OH MY GOODNESS! A HORRID TEST.  Unfortunately I had it once before, on my wrist. Longtime followers of mine may recall me describing THAT!! The doctor inserts needles under your skin and then sends electric currents into you to test your nerves. This time it was for my right foot. Yes, I am still having pain in my foot since July. I barely have a problem with the plantar fasciitis. It is tightness and pain along the top of my right foot that does not go away. At this point, since no one can figure it out and get rid of it, I am just sucking it up and doing the treadmill. I am back to 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon usually 6 days a week again. I need to. I gained weight these last months when I stopped walking because of the plantar fasciitis/foot pain. And my back got weaker and I have had a LOT more back pain because of it. I actually scheduled an appointment with the neurosurgeon. The same one who did a discectomy in my neck. I decided to look up online and see if I could find additional lower back exercises to do daily. I have been doing the same PT exercises for SO MANY years for my SI joint problem. My back is feeling better and stronger. I would rather not have surgery! I do return to the orthopedic doctor next week to discuss the test results. We will see if he gives me a shot in my foot?

Stay healthy my friends! I have been praying SO much more. These are really intense times we are in!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Your corner looks great. I love all those little birds on the Heart in Hand design.
I am quite tempted by the JCS monthly flowers too.
Hope your health problems improve with the warmer weather.

So many pretty things on your corner shelf and this months additions are lovely.
Good luck with the tests and results to follow.

Yep. Not a pleasant test. But mine was not as bad as I expected, maybe the 4 Advil before helped! My sister and mom had severe pain over the top of their foot and their ortho blamed it on arthritic fusion. Weird spot, I didn't even know there was a joint there. I can understand not wanting surgery but look how it improved your neck. Worth it if it helps you! Keep us posted!

All of your March designs are so cute! I hope all your problems work out very soon. Sorry about that difficult test! Sometimes the cure is as bad as the condition. I had cataract surgery on Monday. I am the only person who I know that found it very painful. Monday afternoon was a horror. Thank the good Lord, I am so much better now. Yes, the world needs our prayers perhaps like never before in our lifetime. Today they cancelled all the schools in the entire Seattle area until mid-April.

The March motif is very fitting, and you can use the umbrella well now. I particularly like the motif with the little birds and the frame fits perfectly.
And the tiny stitches on the flowers - wow.
Oh dear - I hope that the result is good and you don't need an operation. I hug you tight, Martina

Vickie, You certainly have been stitching up a storm for March!! The Italian one with the umbrella is so sweet and great find on your backing fabric. Love your Irish Poodle hanging from the shelf!! Robin is such a generous stitcher and I can't wait to see how you change the pattern to fit Callie.
I had an EMG and I barely felt anything on my one hand and then when the needles were inserted on the other hand it was horrible....I thought the Dr. made a mistake with the machine...it was numbness that caused no feeling on one side. I surely hope you get some relief from the pain.

P.S. I would almost forget LOL ... your stitches are beautiful! I especially like the violet pattern for your cubby shelf :)

Vickie, your March stitches are darling and I enjoyed seeing the pictures of your corner shelf all decked out. I am sorry you are still dealing with the foot pain, but glad you are back to walking the treadmill for your back and well being. I hope both tests can provide information to the doctor so a plan (praying it doesn't require surgery) can be put into place. Enjoy your Friday and weekend!

Vickie, I love your stitching and enjoy checking up on you. I hope you get the answers that you want at your doctor's office. It is the pits as we get older and I am older than you, that it seems like we have more aches and pains. Sending you gentle hugs and prayers that you get answers soon. Take care.

More lovely March finishes, your corner looks great with their addition.
I'm glad to hear you're still keeping active in spite of still having pain in your foot. I certainly hope the doctor will have some answers for you and an easy fix would be nice too!

I'm so sorry that that test was so horrid, Vickie--I do hope they can find some answers to your foot pain. It must be a wonderful feeling to be back on the treadmill again. I know when I wasn't able to use mine after my PF bout, I about went crazy! I did use my exercise bike, but it just wasn't the same.

Your March finishes are so cute-- really love your pretty corner shelves, too. It's always so much fun to decorate them each month, isn't it? Love those purple and aqua colors in your flower finishes, too.

So sweet of Robin--can't wait to see you "Callify" this one :)
