Wahoo!

Hi friends! I did it! Wahoo! It is DONE!😁 I finally finished Forever Be My Always by Emma Congdon!! Oh yes I did!! And then... I gave it to Brian right away. Ha! We will go pick out a frame this week. He loves it and is impressed with all the shading he says.
I want this to be framed and on display on a table at our upcoming 25th  wedding anniversary party with family and friends.
This was stitched two over two on white 28ct linen using all the called for DMC.
This pattern can be found in the Spring 2016 issue of Cross Stitch & Needlework magazine.

I am now working on a small.😊 Yes, one of my beloved smalls. It has been too long. I have this freebie I have been wanting to work up for many months and I am doing it NOW!

I want to remind all of you my friends that I have a Stitcher's Sampler pattern giveaway going on right now. I will be drawing the name of the winner on this Friday. If you would like to enter that giveaway, please go HERE
I read the simplest, funniest book the other day. From the young adult section of the library. Yep. Pearls Before Swine: BLTs Taste So Darn Good by Stephan Pastis.  Are you familiar with the Pearls Before Swine comic strip? It is my favorite. This is his first book from 2003, and I just had to order it from another library to read it. I did not know Stephan was a lawyer who quit to become a cartoonist. I am glad he did! I was laughing so hard I was crying sometimes with this book.😂
Pearls Before Swine is the hilarious new comic strip tale of two friends: an arrogant, egotistical Rat who thinks he knows it all and a slow-witted Pig who doesn't know any better. Together with Zebra, the activist, and Goat, the reluctant brain, Pearls Before Swine offers caustic commentary on humanity's quest for the unattainable. Smart, witty, and sometimes painfully honest, Pearls Before Swine mocks the flaws and shortcomings of human nature with cynical humor.

Pearls Before Swine has been syndicated by United Feature Syndicate since January 2002 and now appears in more than 100 newspapers worldwide. In panel after panel, Pearls Before Swine causes readers to lose themselves in laughter.
I know some of you want to see a picture of Murphy with his haircut. Well, he was naughty for Mary. She could not finish his chin at his last haircut a few weeks ago. I have been snipping here and there when I can. I cannot sneak a muzzle on and do it, now can I? So as soon as I get those billy goat hairs trimmed off, you get a handsome picture of him.😉

I hope and pray you all have a wonderful week my friends. I thank you for stopping by today. Thank you for your kind comments. Til next time!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Vickie: It is beautiful, how could he not like it, the colors ar amazing and scream love and more love.
Poor Murphy, Krissy hates having her nails cut it takes three people at the Vet to do her nails, we decided to not have her sedated to clip them she gets so sick from the sedation, I just could not do that to her.
Nice read, I should look this one up, however my book shelf has about 20 books waiting for me.

Blessings

Beautiful, Vickie, absolutely beautiful!!

I will have to take a look at that book. LOL Some of my favorite books were the ones that my son and I read together when he was a teenager. We had hours of discussions...

Lovely finish Vickie! It's no wonder Brian loved it too...it's perfect. It will look so perfect on your anniversary table. I'm so happy for you. Can't wait to see the cute new photo of Murphy. I'm not sure how long I will be without power this coming week because right now we are on the path of the hurricane. It's scary...we have our car packed and filled with gas in case we have to leave but right now the cars are only going 4 miles a hour on the freeway. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever
