Thank you for all of your wonderfully encouraging comments you left me last time. You really know how to make a stitcher feel good!😉 I have been stitching on Pink Hill Manor by Blackbird Designs, the next pattern in the AotH series. There was a slight delay in my start because wow, the DMC colors they recommend do NOT come close to matching the picture on the pattern front. Why do I continue to be surprised by this?! I don't know! DUH! So I went through that painful process of pulling many, many flosses and making decisions and combinations and new decisions, but I do believe I have it all figured out to my liking now.

Have to use pink scissors with pink scissors fob on Pink Hill Manor!! |
The Botox injections kicked in and are helping with the daily chronic tension/migraine headaches. Those are very reduced. This is great news. I will get another round of Botox injections in less than three months then. There is hope that the Botox injections can actually cure my headaches. AS IN TAKE THEM AWAY FOREVER! Oh please God, let it be so. The not so great news is that the Botox does not work on my menstrual migraines. Those are severe and usually last at least 5 days. I know from speaking with several of you, that many of you know about this first hand. It stinks real bad!! I have Relpax to get me through these times. It doesn't work that great, but it is better than nothing of course. Until I go "through my change" I think I will be stuck with these awful menstrual migraines for years. That is what I am reading and that is what you all are telling me. Oh boy.😞
I hope you have a wonderful weekend whatever you are doing my friends. Hug the ones you love. Say I love you today!
Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Beautiful update on the Pink Hill Manor design.
Those are the perfect colors! And you have pink scissors? I am so surprised! LOL LOL LOL
I hope have you have an amazing weekend, sweetie pie. You know that you are on my heart. SMILE.
Yes, almost always the photo of the design doesn't do justice to the actual stitched piece! I do like your color substitution, and your stitching is beautiful. I'm so glad to hear that you are getting some relief from your pain and I hope that continues indefinitely! Your blog is always such a positive place and I love visiting.

Vickie, I'm so happy to hear that the Botox helped with your headaches. Migraines headaches are so debilitating and I hope you get permanent relief.
I love your pink choice for the flowers, you are making great progress. Blackbird designs are so beautiful. Mary@stitchingfriendsforever
Praise God that the Botox is working.. I will keep you in my prayers that they will totally cure you. That is good news. Love your stitching. Please note that I even put in a few stitches on my update post on my blog. I know, I know...I was as shocked as anyone that I picked up ye' old needle again. :) Wishing you a most lovely day and weekend, too. Blessings always sweet friend. :)
The border on your next AotH block looks good, Vickie. Happy to hear the Botox injections seem to be helping! Have a restful weekend!
Wow I love your stitchy piece ..it's so beautiful
Big hugs and smiles x
Great start on the new piece. Pink Hill Manor is a piece you were destined to stitch!
Good news about the Botox!
Great news about your medical treatment!
Such a beautiful progress! Lovely pink choices!
Have a great weekend!
Wonderful progress on your WIP.
All blocks together looks great.
I'm so happy to hear that the Botox injection helped.
Have a nice weekend.

Beautiful stitching Vickie.
Great news that your injections are having a positive effect.Hope you have a great weekend.
Pink Hill Manor is so pretty. So glad that the Botox is working. I only ever had a migraine prior to my menstrual cycle. Now that I am post menopausal, my migraines are gone. I hope yours may at least subside slightly with the continued Botox. Hugs.
Pink Hill is looking great. Glad you are getting some relief from the headaches.
Vickie that is wonderful news about the Botox treatments relieving a lot of your pain. I know how happy you must be about that. Maybe in time it will help the other cause of your headaches too.
Love your color choices. Perfect for our "pink" friend. Have a lovely weekend. RJ @stitchingfriendsforever2
Good news regarding the Botox! Finally! I'm not a border/flower stitcher but that one is divine.
Beautiful stitching. I have some of these designs and am planning one day to get them all, although I haven't decide whether or not I will do them separately or all together. It is so annoying when the colours don't work out!!
You made a great start on Pink Hill Manor. And of course, you have to use pink scissors for it, lol.
So great to read that the Botox is working.
I am so glad to hear the Botox injections are working. It is a shame they don't work on menstrual headaches too. I (rather luckily) found a way to control mine even if they were an excellent warning of what was to come (hah). Not worth it to have them though. Is Relpax like a super Excedrin Migraine?
Is it nice working with pink again after finishing all those signatures (congrats on that btw)? And do you ever NOT use pink scissors with a pink scissor fob? ;)
The two pinks you chose look lovely together. I do wonder why the conversions are so inaccurate? Maybe the hand dyed threads change over time and DMC don't?
Glad the Botox works, it will be lovely to be pain free in the future.
I'm so happy the botox is working! But not happy about the menstrual migraines. I wonder why the botox doesn't work for those? Sigh. Continued prayers for you. I love your AotH block -- the colors look amazing! Worth all the effort of figuring them out!
Such pretty stitching. I completely understand about your migraines. They are absolutely vile. Glad the injections are helping somewhat.
Happy Sunday Vickie! Your start on Pink Hill Manor is lovely! The color choices that you have made look great...oh yes this is definitely YOUR block! and yes....pink scissors are a must...grins! Love it!
I am so happy to hear the shots are helping! Praying every day that you will one day be headache free!
Have a wonderful Sunday my dear friend! I know you are praying for me and that means so very much! I couldn't do this without you :)! Sending lots of hugs and love!!
Love your color choices, Vickie! I seem to be choosing more and more colors on my own because of the mismatch between the real colors and those chose on the chart front. It really is frustrating...
What great news about the shots doing their job--what a relief. As far as the menstrual headaches, you can always hope for early menopause :)
Hope you enjoy your Memorial Day, Vickie!
I'm so pleased you are able to enjoy some relief from the headaches.
Such a pretty version your AOTH.
So glad the Botox injections are helping and praying that the headaches will be eliminated. Pink Hill Manor is coming along nicely. I do consignment stitching and more often than not, I'm told to match the picture of the design and not pattern. I like the colors you have selected :)
Have a great weekend.
I'm so happy to hear that the Botox injections have made a difference--yay!!! And you are doing a beautiful job on Anniversaries of the Heart! Your stitches are so tiny and perfect. : )
Your AotH is looking so pretty. I really love your Pink Hill Manor so far.
Fingers crossed for the Botox injections.
Beautiful progress, and happy for the Bx injetions are working well. And of course: A big "hurray" to me!! Yes heaven! I'm the winner!! Heheheheheheheehe!!! ^_^ Hugs. Big, big hugs.
AotH continues to look fantastic! Hope the botox injections continue to help and can eventually totally rid you of the headaches!
What fabulous news about the Botox and your regular daily headaches.
So glad the Botox injections are helping! That's great news. Absolutely gorgeous stitching, too. I didn't realize how tiny those stitches are until I saw the picture with the floss! Amazing job :D
Nice color choices. So glad you are finally getting some relief. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
Pink Hill Manor is stitching up beautifully! When taking pics of my work, I rarely get the colors true to life. It usually takes more fiddling than what I'm willing to do.
Good news about the botox - continuing to pray for healing. Hugs!
The border on your next AotH block looks good, Vickie. Happy to hear the Botox injections seem to be helping! Have a restful weekend!
