Hi friends! Emerson finished his woodpecker embroidery this weekend! 😁
I feel badly that I did not iron interfacing into the pocket for him before he began. You can see that the pocket is somewhat warped now. I just never checked closely. I let him go at it. I assumed the shirt was denim and it would not need it. I was WRONG. Well, Emerson's embroidery is still FANTASTIC, is it not?!
And he says he is not done.😉 He is thinking up new designs for other projects.
I finished one more autograph. 27 to go. 🙄 This was one HUGE autograph! My brother is a really big guy and this autograph takes up the whole upper back of the overalls.
It is Del McCoury. If you are into bluegrass music, you have probably heard of Del. I am working on his wife's signature next. Then his sons. Then...then...then... AHHHHHHHHH! I miss my cross stitch BIG TIME! 😣Must keep going. Must keep going.😣
I did the drawing for the Hello Spring chart by Nicoletta Farrauto of Nikyscreations and Wendy Fossa, you are the winner! I cannot contact you however because you are a no-reply commenter. Please contact me ASAP if you still want this chart!
I hope you all have a super week my friends! I am going to make the best of my signature embroidery. I am taking the advice of my smart friend Julie in Arizona. Stitch the autographs for Jesus. And so I am. I just need to keep remembering that when it gets old. And it DOES get old. Just saying.
Thanks for stopping by. You brighten my day with your sweet words.
Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Emmerson looks great.
Hi Vickie and Emerson,
What a fantastic job you both did! The woodpecker is so beautiful! Hats off!!!
That is a great looking bird. So glad that he stuck in there and finished it up. Enjoyed catching up with your blog this morning. So sweet of you to take on the overalls project for your brother.
Enjoy your day.

Emerson's embroidery is beautiful! The warping is not bad -- it looks fine! I wouldn't have thought interfacing would be necessary either. The huge signature looks great! This project looks hard! That's like denim overalls, right? And you have to go over the seams too? No wonder you are having a hard time! Some of the signatures look hard to decipher too. Hope it goes well for you. Take it one signature at a time.
Emerson is so talented. I love his bird. I can't wait to see what new designs he comes up with. Oh I love that you are stitching for Jesus. What a wonderful thing to say and do. You are such a good Sister! :) Each stitch is sewn with love. Wishing you a most lovely day sweet friend. Blessings always. :)
Emerson's woodpecker is fabulous--very authentic! I can only imagine your brother will be so thrilled to get those overalls and show them off...definitely something for him to treasure.
Emerson's woodpecker looks fabulous. Perhaps, Emerson would like to volunteer his time to stitch a signature or two. What a treasure you are creating, Vickie! Enjoy your week!
Wonderful stitching by Emerson. Your signatures are coming along, try to forget how many you have done and how many you have to do!!
Excellent! I don't think it's pulled badly enough to notice. I've read that liquid fabric softener can relax the weave, maybe that would help as you stretch a little? But really not necessary. Great job!
Congratulations Emerson...your woodpecker is wonderful! Great job! And Vickie...your embroidery on that Huge autograph is awesome! You have more done on the overalls this week then last...grins...so you are making great progress! I'm proud of you!
I hope you have a great week! Sending hugs and love....
Wow! That woodpecker is beautifully done! Nice job, Emerson! Fun project you're working on!

Awesome stitching, Emerson!
Well done Emerson, a truly lovely finish.
Go Vickie ... with each finish you are nearing the end of them. xx
I feel your pain, embroidering over those signatures on denim... but what a treasure! I have a soft spot for Bluegrass. :O) The only advice I can offer is to treat yourself to some small reward after you finish each one, even if it's only an extra afternoon cookie!
Woodpecker looks great!
The woodpecker looks great and the autographs are looking fantastic too. What a great idea to preserve them. It is worth the effort.
Emerson's woodpecker turned out great. The overalls are looking good.

Kudos to Emerson. No one would ever know it's his first project. As much as you're missing cross stitch, knowing you're making such a special gift for your brother should help you soldier on (along with Jesus, of course). Your brother is going to be one of the happiest people on earth!
Wow, Emerson's embroidery is incredible. Well done!
Emerson's woodpecker is amazing, I cannot believe he is a novice. Impatient to see what he comes up with next.
Emerson did a fabulous job on the woodpecker. And you continue to amaze me with the signatures. You are awesome and a wonderful sister. RJ
Emerson's woodpecker is fabulous! You are such a talented family. I can't imagine how hard that denim must be to stitch - a true labour of love for your brother.
Good morning, Vickie! Congratulations to YOU and Emerson! His woodpecker is great. I did quite a bit of embroidery in high school...on painter's overalls! I agree, denim is not easy to stitch on. You are a stitching animal...you can do this! LOL Have a wonderful day...
The woodpecker is awesome, he did a fantastic job designing and stitching it too. Can't wait to see what he does next.
27 autographs? Maybe?
Bravo! woodpecker look awesome.
Love the woodpecker looks wonderful .
Enjoy your week .
The woodpecker is so pretty! Nice work!
Wonderful job with those signatures!
Happy day!!
Wow looks so pretty x
The woodpecker is wonderful! The warping wouldn't even bother me.
A beautiful finish for Emerson, you have passed on your stitching gift:)
Прекрасная вышивка, очень красиво!
The woodpecker does look fantastic! I love that Emerson's already thinking up new designs.
I'm sure the signatures can be tedious, but the end result will be so worth it! Hang in there.
