Art By Madeleine

Hi friends! Lovely weather this week. How is it by you?

Henry drew the name of the winner for the Prairie Schooler American Stawberries pattern this morning. Only three friends entered for this. Charlene you are the winner! I have your address and I will be mailing this out shortly.

Here is a little doodle art by Madeleine.
hmm. Do you know these guys? ;)

Here is a larger piece of art completed by Madeleine this week. This is all done in chalk.
I was weeding the other day, and went around all these sweet, little flowers. They popped up by themselves. I planted not one of them.
I have not planted these sweet pink baby's breath flowers in several years. Amazing the seeds lasted and sprouted this year. ♥ The green moss is so soft. All such sweet, little gifts to brighten my day.
I scored at Walmart yesterday. I got 52 different plants and bulbs for less than 8 and a half dollars. Did I mention 95% of them are pink?!? :) tee hee! Now to find room for them. Yeah, I did NOT plan that out first. I have about one quarter of them planted so far.

I continue on with tedious finishing work. I am also stitching up a small gift for a friend.

I hope you have an excellent, blessed weekend my friends. Thank you for stopping by. I am so very glad you did.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Isn't this time of year great for plants! I buy only plants when they go on sale and call them my "rescues" because they're usually in sad shape. I figure if they can't survive at our house I won't have spent a lot of money on them. Yours will surely find a spot! :D

Chalk was always one of my favorites with which to work! Delightfully messy but so easy to clean up after. Glad your daughter is having fun with it~

I could do without all this rain! I am glad that I do not have to water the plants as much but it has been a bit much lately! I could also use a break from having to mow the yard every 5 days! (!!!) Okay done complaining now haha. :b

Just discovered your blog through Jo's Summer Postcard blog hop. Your flowers are lovely - isn't it a wonderful surprise when beauty pops up unexpectedly?

Your flowers are so sweet! I would do the same as you...bulbs and seeds on sale, sure I'll find room. LOL

I really like the chalk picture. It's quiet and dreamy, if that makes sense.

I love your flowers...pansies are one of my favorite flowers, and your violet ones are too sweet! You tiny pink cuties are just adorable.
You have had a busy week, my friend, but it sounds like a productive one...I have been weeding and mulching my beds all week, and finally finished today, what a treat it is to have flowers in a garden...we are blessed.
I can't wait to see your finishes too...
Have a blessed weekend
Hugs
Ma

Awww, Henry is so cute! Madeleine is very talented! Beautiful work! Your garden is really flourishing! You get great volunteers. It seems to me all gardeners go shopping and come home with more to plant and then wonder where they will go. lol! I love that. I'm not a gardener, but I totally understand that tendency!

Your daughter made some beauiful drawings! The chalk one is awesome!

Those surprises in the garden are the best, aren't they! I have some pansies too, they pop up everywhere. Sweet!
You and pink flowers, 'how come'? ;) Enjoy!

Have a nice evening and a great week to come ...

Your trip to Walmart was very successful - so many bulbs and plants for such little money. They will make your garden even more beautiful. Just like the little wild pansies that we also have in ozur garden at many different places. I loive them a lot.
Great art work by Madeleine.

Cute little surprises in your flower garden. Great haul on your pink garden. I miss having a flower garden. Just trying to keep the few that I have left alive with all of our water restrictions.
