Plugging Away

Hi friends! How are you? There are a handful of you I am praying for. If you need prayer, let me know! I could use prayer. My pain is high currently.

I have been itching to stitch a small sooooooo bad, but I continue on with Theotokos. At this point, I have got needlepoint down. No more confusion with that, like there was when I began. Here is where I am.
I have finished reading the book of Job. I am almost 1/3 of the way done with the book of Genesis. If you missed my last post, I mentioned that I am reading the Bible chronologically with Joni and Ken Tada. We will read the Bible in one year. It is not too late to join in if you like. Or if you just want to take a look at the reading schedule, take a look at this link here.

I baked this Challah two days ago. All gone. ;) We love this bread. This would be my favorite homemade bread. I use the bread machine to make the dough. This makes a nice, large loaf.
Miss Mabel needs a haircut, but I am not up to that yet. Hopefully in a few days my pain will go down.

Thank you for stopping by. I know this has not been the most exciting stretch of posts lately. I am trying to get Theotokos done though.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie
I try to be fair

You have excellent staying power Vickie, I would have given into temptation and stitched a small in between. I hope your pain levels reduce very soon, it wears you down. Your bread looks delicious.

Well done for sticking to this beautiful project. You have made really good progress!
Your bread looks so so so yummy, it's perfect!! Is it a savoury bread or a sweet bread like Brioche that we have in France?? So wish I could taste it :D

Looking good! Don't you just love the chronological Bible? I've been reading it as my daily reading for several years. Every three years or so I switch to something else; last year is was the Our Daily Bread Devotional Bible, but I always return to the Chronological.

Oh, dear... I'm so sorry to read that your pain level is so high again, Vickie. Is it time for a change in medication again? My husband's chronic foot pain is worse again lately and I wonder if it has anything to do with this colder weather?

Amazing piece you're stitching--I'm in awe!! And that bread looks quite amazing, too! I hope you'll post the recipe--pretty please :)

Hope your pain level goes down and you can enjoy a nice weekend!

Pain, pain, fly away!

Your bread looks delicious; I have never attempted a challah. My favorite has always been freshly ground wheat bread.

You are very close on Theotokos! I am amazed at your every post since so much more has been accomplished. :D
