Poodle Pajamas =)

Good Morning friends! Hope all is well with you? I have a heavy heart still from the passing of our friend Cathey. I am not sad for Cathey, her suffering in this life is now over. I am sad for her husband and little son. I continue to pray for them. I know this makes Cathey happy. She prayed for me and I for her.♥ She was such an inspiration, and I told her so! For continued updates on Cathey, please check her friend Katie's blog here for continual updates.

I wasn't feeling stitchy yesterday, so I made pajama pants for Madeleine and for myself. I found this great flannel at JoAnn months ago. Perfect for us or what?!
Here is my progress thus far on the Barbara Ana SAL.
Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. I had the first test injection to my left SI joint Tuesday morning. To put it plainly, this was the second most painful injection I have EVER had. I told the doctor so afterwards. I told him it was like he used a needle with a barbed wire tip and was jabbing and grinding around in there. My pain is now lower than when I went in on Tuesday morning. The doctor also put some cortisone in there. This must be what has brought the pain down, as the anesthetic he injected me with only lasts for about 6 hours. I imagine they will still give me injection number 2 in less than two weeks. It will be a different anesthetic he will use that time.

I have been dealing with the most bizarre reaction. When I sleep my left leg kicks out every few minutes. I am not talking about tremors or spasms, but big 'ol jerks. Try sleeping through that!! It lasted for the first two hours of my sleep the first night. I don't think it goes on that long every night. I have learned to roll over onto my left side to suppress it. Since the injection, my leg from above the hip, all the way down to my toes is tingly nonstop.BUT the pain is reduced since Thursday. I am thankful. I need to talk with the doctor before the next injection.

Dahlias are still growing strong.

I finished reading The Spymistress by Jennifer Chiaverini. It was an interesting, historical fiction read. I enjoyed it. I am now beginning The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Have any of you ever read this book? I am going to listen to it on CD. I have wanted to read it for a few years, but have put it off because of the language. It was written in 1678!!!

Have a beautiful day friends!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Sorry the objection was so painful but thankful you're feeling done improvement. Take some time to rest in those fun jammy pants!
My favorite book growing up was Little Pilgrim's Progress - somewhat easier to read but I believe faithful to the original. Wish I still had it!

I too was saddened to hear of her passing but thinking more of her son and husband. I'm praying too for them.

Very sweet pjs you made. They look really comfy. I'm sorry to hear that this injection was more painful but hopefully your pain will subside and you can feel new again. Never read Pilgrim's Progress, but not new to reading classics since I've read the majority of them. The key is to get into the language of the age and it will get easier! Sending you hugs and prayers!

Hopefully by now the pain is totally gone! I am still behind in reading blogs, so as I progress I may find the results... pardon my outdated comments. Cute pajamas! I really like how the SAL is coming along. You sure do a lot of teensy stitching over one! Hugs!

When I first saw this post, I thought these pajamas were FOR Henry. WHY did I think that? I came back here to see where you got it, or how you made it, then realized you made it for yourself. *head slap* Theyre cute! I know pajamas for dogs are a bit dumb, but I am seriously looking for ways to keep my Freddy warm this winter. He has had such a bad health scare this past year. I want him in a one piece that includes paw covers. GO ahead and laugh, its okay :)
