Almost There Now

Good morning everybody! How are you today? It will be over 100º today! Yuck! I am getting close to a finish on Praise God.

I just have the flowers to stitch on this.

I just finished The Lover's Knot by Clare O'Donohue. It wasn't that great. To make it worse she used swear words. I should not have even continued. I will not be reading anymore in this series.

This is the habit Mabel has taken up again. When the kids leave their backpacks on the kitchen floor while doing homework at the kitchen table, Mabel sleeps on them. You might have figured out this is Madeleine's and not one of the boys backpacks. ;)

My doctor ordered a MRI for me. It will take a few weeks for insurance and the appt to be set up. He says that things change in our bodies. I have not had a MRI since I fell 7 1/2 years ago. We need to see what is going on now he says. My pain increase this year should not be happening. Well, we will see. I am praying that this MRI shows them exactly and precisely what my problem is. That way we can treat it . Or possibly even fix it?!? Those are my hopes and thoughts. Not the doctor's.

Thank you for visiting me today new and old friends. I appreciate you and your comments. Have a great day in the Lord.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Oh I LOVE this pattern! Well done!

Cute picture of Mabel. She looks tired.

Hope you find some answers for your medical issues. Not fun to go through but worth it if you can feel better eventually.

Best wishes on the MRI as a means to an end ... a pain-free life. Praise God seems to be coming along quite nicely.

That's going to be a beautiful finish! Mabel looks like she belongs on Madelyn's backpack; maybe after the school year you could use the fabric for a pillow for your sweet friend! Hope you get the desired results from your tests and can feel better soon.

Hi Vicki! I'm praying that all goes well with the MRI & that your receive very good news when it is completed! I love that Praise God stitching : ) I am not surprised at your dismay in reading that book & finding swear words. I actually read a book of knitting stories a few months ago & was totally shocked to find a lot of swear words in it! It's bad enough they sneak them into TV shows every now & again & of course they are prevalent in movies but now you think you're reading a simple little book & you are faced with them. Ah well, so goes the darkness of the world.

I'm so sorry your pain level has increased lately, Vickie--I really can't imagine dealing with chronic pain. Hopefully, the MRI will be helpful in determining the exact course of treatment...

I can see a happy dance in your new future with that pretty WIP :)

Hang in there with this heat--we are only getting to 92 tomorrow, thankfully!
