Hi friends! Here it is. The day I have been waiting for. My disk replacement surgery is happening today at 7:30 a.m. I will be home late today.
I will need two weeks to recover. The neurosurgeon wants me to sit in a recliner and relax. FOR TWO WEEKS
He does NOT want me to stitch for the first two weeks. Since the disk replacement is in my neck, I cannot hold up books to read even without causing issues truly. So I have downloaded free audio books from our library. I am finally going to check out my friends Priscilla & Chelsea on Flosstube too! 😎 I have never made time for that. Well, here we go!!
I will be getting up every 30 minutes to walk around to prevent blood clots. And I will be wearing those lovely elastic stockings to prevent blood clots too. I need to walk 4 times a day for 30 minutes also. This is all because I had a major surgery.

I hope all goes well and you recover to feel better than before. Maybe if you get all the audiobooks and floss tube videos done you can plan out a wish list, etc. Anything to keep yourself busy and from stitching. Fingers crossed!

Vickie, I'm so sorry I didn't get here to wish you good luck before your surgery! I hope that you're recovering very well and that by now, the worse of it is behind you! It definitely sounds like you're planning on following all of the drs orders, which is the best thing to do. Hugs!
