Main Street Monday

Hi friends! We have been having very mild weather here in southeastern Wisconsin for early December. The poodles and I love it! No snow in sight.

If you stop by the bakery downstairs you will see this caricature painting of Brian's boss. The Italian baker who Brian bakes with at night and who owns this building.
Um, yes, that should give you a little idea of his macho Italian personality. He is a very nice man though, really. His daughters have told Brian, "My Dad loves you Brian."

Yes, I actually have concrete Mabel and Henry in our living room here at the apartment. I could not part with them, and what is the point of them living in storage? They are ready for Christmas.
This is the wreath that hangs on our door. Remember it from last year when I created it? I just love this wreath!❤️
And here is the last look at Madeleine's two poodle ornaments I made her fully assembled. They are ready for her St. Nick's stocking on Tuesday night. This year the boys are just getting store bought Star Wars ornaments. They will still be happy. Trust me.
I will have another finished ornament to share next time!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Living above an Italian bakery sounds great to me. Makes me think of all the wonderful bread they make.
Mabel and Henry are well prepared for the Christmas season and they look so cute with their bow and shawl.
Lovely ornaments for Madeleine. And yes, I'm sure your boys will be happy with purchased Star Wars ornaments, lol.

Oh, we do not have an Italian baker. Nice that you've already dressed your concrete poodle so beautifully. And the wreath looks great too.
Everything is so nice.

Hi Vickie! Being married to an Italian man, I know the wonderful smells of Italian baking. His Mom made the best pastries. I bet the smells are wonderful.

Love all of the dressed up poodles and so glad you brought them out. It would not be Christmas without them. RJ

Oh Vickie....your poodle ornaments are just ADORABLE! I love them and I know Madeleine will treasure them ....a perfect St. Nick gift!

The sign in the bakery window made me chuckle! Very clever for a bakery...lol! I can just see the baker himself in my mind...I can also imagine all the delicious smells coming from inside when I open the door...mmmmm yes I am definitely feeling hungry...lol! I made bread the other day...I think a slice of that sounds good...grins!

I am just catching up on blog reading...we have had a crazy couple weeks with company, airport runs, cooking...and oh yes in case I should forget...stitching...lol! I am very tired but ok so no worries! I am also reading Christmas Bells by Jennifer Chiaverini and loving it so far!

Sending lots of hugs and love to you my dear friend! Enjoy St. Nicholaas! ❤️

Your poodle ornaments are gorgeous! I was going to get the kit but the shipping was almost as much as the kit so I passed for now. I'm hoping that 123Stitch.com will get the kit in again as their shipping is so much cheaper! It's on my wish list and I'm sure I'll get them at some point. They are so adorable and you did a fantastic job on them. Love your wreath and all your poodle things. :)

Blessings - Julie

I keep thinking about the temptations of living over a bakery. : ) The area you live in seems just lovely - kind of old-fashioned. Mabel and Henry are sweet, and your wreath makes me smile. Your daughter is going to love her ornaments. You did a wonderful job on them!
