Another Bunny!

Hi friends! How you all today? It is warming up here. I have increased the Cymbalta dosage for my back pain. I am not so very confident this is going to take away the pain from the herniated discs.😒I do see the doctor again in a few weeks and I do believe I will be telling him I want that steroid shot please!

I have stitching to share. 🐰This darling little rabbit is from Zweigart patterns No. 280, their Easter patterns.

I stitched her two over two on 32ct Belfast Baby Lotion linen with most of the called for DMC and Anchor flosses. I created a Wisper tail on her pull toy bunny.🐰

I am still stitching away on my monthly piece. Almost done!

📚 I could not put this one down! This is a fictional story based on the very real and very cruel experience of unmarried mothers in the 1950s in Ireland and England.
How is your town or city doing with COVID? Do you feel safe where you are? I feel fairly safe, because WE are very cautious. We only go out to necessary places still and when we do, we wear our masks everywhere still. No, we are still not eating IN restaurants or attending our church. We watch online. Not the same at all, but we also have not gotten COVID thus far.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

I am glad you stopped by. I hope you have a nice week my friends!

Happy Bunny Bunny Day by The Trilogy Designs

Hi friends! I would like to share my latest finish with you. Happy Bunny Bunny Day by The Trilogy Designs 🐇

stitched two over two on 32ct Zweigart Angel Blush Belgian linen with DMC (some of my own choices). I left out the alphabet and where the pattern called for pink buttons, I used the pink floss and created spider web roses. Can't take credit for that idea. I saw it on IG, but can't remember where. 🙄

I am now stitching an April monthly piece.

📚 Do you like Jerry Seinfeld? Jerry has written his own material and saved EVERYTHING since he began as a twenty-one year old. In this book, he selected his favorite material and organized it decade by decade. I will give you my honest opinion of this audio book. I did not laugh at most of the jokes. BUT..... that may just be me. AND the 25% of the jokes I did laugh at. OH MY GOODNESS. When we use this: 😂😂😂 the face with eyes shedding tears from laughing so much. YES, that was me. I am NOT exaggerating when I tell you that I had a box a tissues right next to my stitching, because I had to wipe my eyes so often and repeatedly. Also, I could feel my abdominal muscles were getting a workout from laughing so much. I am not kidding!😆 So, if you are going to check out this book, do yourself a favor and listen to it!

Here is a personal question you may not want to answer! And that is fine. I wasn't sure I wanted to share this embarrassing information either but, well I am putting it out here. I have gained about 10 pounds in a year!! That is something new, and unwelcome! How many of you have gained weight during this last year? You do NOT have to tell me how much. I thought it was all my "menobelly", but I am starting to wonder about that. The more I see and read in the news about weight gain during the pandemic has me second guessing the weight gain! 61% of Americans say they gained weight during the pandemic! I read one article that said nearly 2 pounds a month!!! I can't walk on the treadmill enough! How are you coping with this?

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

Thank you for your comments. I hope and pray you are well. I hope you have a good weekend my friends!

🐇Sweet Pea by La D Da🐇

 Hi friends!

I seem to have a very special friend out there❣️ Look at this bEaUtIfUL ☕mug I received in the mail💌 with NO notes and no return address. Dear friend, thank you❣️😘 This is the most special mug I own. Honestly. What a wonderful thing to do for me.🥰

🐇Sweet Pea by La D Da🐇
I changed her. I removed the alphabet and worked in another large flower and some leaves and small flowers.🌸 I stitched her two over two on 32ct Colour & Cotton Warm Sienna with two of the called for DMC, GA Pink Azalea and VMSS 1840 Calico Pink. 💗 I love her.🤗

🎀🐩 Look at these lovely gifts given to me by Angela
That little 🌷&🐰 tag is perfect to hang from my corner shelf or from my linen cabinet. And the 🐩 fabric! I literally jumped up and down when I unwrapped that! 😁 I love it SO much! I have this exact same fabric, and have only scraps left. I thank you once again Angela❣️

I stitched another little bunny. I need to do the finishing on it.

The medicine increase seems to be slightly helping with the pain already. Maybe the next increase in dosage will be needed?  That and I am really putting effort into my core strengthening exercises now. Planks are hard! Do not laugh. I can do 12 second ones now. 🙃 Can you do planks? Do you regularly exercise? I walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes, three times a day at least 6 times a week. AND I STILL HAVE THIS MENOBELLY! 😒 I do my PT stretches and exercises daily for my SI joint injury and now my 4 herniated discs. Ugh. Is there no end?!?!

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you.” James 4:7

I am so glad you stopped by. I hope you have a healthy, blessed week!

April Corner Shelf

Hi friends! Hello to my new followers! Here we are halfway through the month and I totally forgot to share my              🌸🐰April Corner Shelf🐰🌸 I am still displaying Easter and stitching bunnies the entire month, because Orthodox Easter is May 2nd.

In this picture the PINK rabbit on the right is my Easter bunny from my childhood. My brother Michael used to have a blue one also. I do not think Mike has it anymore. I do believe this little bunny is 50 years old now.💗 It was always in my Easter basket. It was obviously well loved. I told Madeleine it could be hers, but we always placed it high on a shelf in her bedroom, along with The Velveteen Rabbit book. I read that to her, and told her how this little bunny is kind of like that. Do you know, just this year, she told me that when she was little she never felt she could touch this rabbit? She thought this rabbit WAS the Velveteen Rabbit🐇!

📚 This WWII novel of romance and friendship is based on the true story of the heroic librarians at the American Library in Paris. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

I am working on the finishing of Sweet Pea by La D Da. Not fun. Cannot wait to be done with it.

I did see the physiatrist on Wednesday. The doctor is very nice. He decided to increase my duloxetine(Cymbalta) dosage. I am on the very lowest dosage possible. If that does not work, we will increase it again. If that does not work, I will have him give me a steroid shot.

“The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.” Psalm 147:11

I wonder, do any of you have any beloved stuffed animals from your childhood? I think my pink Easter bunny only survived this long because it was only brought out mostly at Easter. You can see that I still played with it and loved it! 🐰 😘 🤗

I hope and pray you are well. Thank you for stopping by to say Hi! I am grateful you did. Take good care of yourselves now and have a wonderful weekend!💗

💐

Hi friends! 💐 I made these cute wool flowers with punch needled centers. The pattern for them is from the 2020 Summer issue of Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher Magazine. I decided to add leaves. I think it looks okay?

I am still stitching Sweet Pea. 🐇

I have had this audio book waiting and waiting, and I finally read it! If I knew it was this good, I never would have left it waiting! Jennifer Robson "embroidered" a magical moment in royal history, What a fantastic story of friendship, loss, love, and redemption. If you read it, did you also enjoy all of the many sewing details?? I sure did!

Well the appointment with the physiatrist has finally arrived! I see him Wednesday. We are praying this man can offer me a solution to the pain I am in. The numbness is rarely ever there now, but sitting is not good, and sleeping is bad. And I don't know about you, but I like my sleep! I enjoy it! I look enjoy getting into bed with little Henry and cuddling up and blanking out after prayers. No more. Pain has kept me up for months. Or pain wakes me. 😞 It is the pits, and I would really like to get a steroid shot to get some relief. I am hopeful! I do not think this will happen Wednesday though.

“I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in his word do I hope.” Psalm 130:5

I hope you have a wonderful week my friends! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and say Hi! I appreciate it.💗

April Stitching

Hi friends! 🥳🩰🎉This is the final month in the Heart in Hand Square Dance series for me!

🥕April🥕 stitched two over two with DMC and VMSS on 32ct mystery evenweave. I changed most of the colors. All of the carrots were supposed to be orange. I thought I would have fun with it, and put in a white one and a purple one.

I am now stitching Sweet Pea by La-D-Da.

I got vaccinated yesterday with Moderna.  I got a bad headache last night. Have you been vaccinated?

📚I have been waiting for this book since one second after I finished the last Maisie Dobbs book! Ha! 😂 I LOVE THIS SERIES! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus  Romans 15:5

I hope you have a very nice weekend! Take good care of yourselves. Now is NOT the time to let down our guards. So many people are still dying from this virus.

Stitching and praying,

Vickie

Easter Stitching!

Hi friends! I hope you all had a Blessed Easter. We celebrated with our children and saw Jacob and Kristen outside. As a reminder for those of you who do not know or who have forgotten, Brian and I are Orthodox Christian, so we will celebrate Easter on May 2nd this year.

Jelly Bean Garden by Brenda Gervais🐰

Isn't she precious?! This is my favorite of the seven Easter patterns. I will be stitching more, but for now have moved onto another monthly piece. This was stitched two over two on 32ct light turquoise linen from my stash. The trim and backing material shown are from my stash also.

🐰🐥April Cubby Shelf Display🐥🐰

These are all stitched over one. Except the little April pillow on top.

We are getting vaccinated this week! Hooray! Hooray!

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2

It has warmed up here. It is so nice and mild. The windows are open and the birds are singing. I have my doctor's appointment in two weeks for my back. I am hoping and praying he can give me a steroid shot to relieve me of this constant pain.

I hope and pray you are doing well wherever you are my friends. Take care. Be safe. Have a great week! Thank you for your dear comments.

Stitching and praying,

Vickie
