10 YEARS!!

Hi friends! This month marks 10 years I have been blogging. 😁 There are quite a few of you faithful, wonderful friends who have stuck with me from the start. 😘🤗 I have been blessed to gain so very many friends during this time. And yes, you all are blessings in my life! Such caring, loving, sharing souls you are. 💕💕💕 I have thanked God for you all around the world, many times. I never could have imagined 10 years ago, that I would have SO MANY supportive, genuine friends around the world. I am blessed. Truly. Thank you everyone, for just you being you! Thank you for passing by here and taking the time to share in my life.

With gratitude, I would like to have a 10 Year Giveaway. This is a brand new chart from my stash, Spring at Bean Family Farm by Shakespeare's Peddler.

This giveaway is open to all of my sidebar followers. You just need to comment on this post that you would like to be entered in the giveaway, and please tell me how long you have been a follower of mine. I will draw a winner on Friday, March 4th.

I did not share with you the delightful Valentine our friend Donna made me. Isn't it pretty? She also gave me two small aida doilies I am going to use, and a cute bookmark. 🥰 Thank you again Donna!
I am stitching on my own St. Patrick's design.

February's Primrose

Hi friends! I have finished the monthly piece. 💕👑February's Primrose by Cottage Garden Samplings 👑💕

This entire monthly series is gorgeous and it was a GENEROUS GIFT FROM DEAR ASTRID Thank you once again Astrid! I am stitching them each one over two on 40ct lambswool linen with the called for DMC and the gold on this one I used VMSS 1795 Tarnished Gold.

I am making flat finishes out of all twelve months and mounting them with magnets to this finishing piece I got from Hobby Lobby.

I just finished designing a piece for St. Patrick's Day. This one took me several days to get done. Drove me a bit wild I admit, but I am finally pretty happy with it. Some of it has to be done as I stitch. I do not plan on making this one available for free on my blog, as I am NOT charting this one out on Stitch Fiddle. I did this one FOR ME. To be honest friends, it takes a lot of work charting patterns out, and when NO ONE sends you a picture back showing you they stitched your pattern, well, I admit. It is disheartening. So why bother? I truly design them FOR ME. It seems no one else is interested in poodle designs. I get that. People LOVE free. I know that! HA! But do they stitch it? I doubt it. This one though. This one has NOTHING, ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH TO DO WITH POODLES. Well enough of that. Just sharing with you.

Did you watch the Olympics? What sport do you enjoy? Do you watch the opening and closing ceremonies? I did not see the opening ceremony, I did see parts of the closing ceremony. I always LOVE ice skating. Do you? Such drama this year! Too bad.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits  Psalm 103:1-2

Have a wonderful weekend my friends. There is very strange weather going on here. Frigid one day. Warm the next.

Vickie

More Valentines

Hi friends! This was my finish ON Valentine's Day. 💝🧵Aiguille et coeur by Agnès of Caielle & Cadiera 🧵💝

This is a free pattern available from the weekly newsletter put out by Agnès. I stitched this one over one on 32ct Angel Blush Belfast linen with DMC 415 and VMSS Antique Pink. All flosses, linen, and finishing fabrics are from my stash.

💗🤍Set of 6 Sweet Coasters made by our friend Julie 🤍💗Aren't these 💕PINK💕(both of our favorite colors) crocheted coasters darling?! I love them. Madeleine says "They are so happy!" and she is right.🥰 Thank you once again Julie❣️

I am finishing the February pattern in the Cottage Garden Samplings monthly series. AND I have begun to design a NON-POODLE pattern my friends! Amazing, I know!

Tell me, are you hounding the Nashville Market? Do you buy new releases? I do not. I have not looked. No $$ at this time, so that makes that decision easy actually. 😘 For now. Sure hope nothing FANTASTIC is flaunted by fellow stitchers!! I do not want to know about it!!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35, 37

I hope you have a STITCHTASTIC weekend! Thanks for stopping by. You guys are the best! 😘

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi friends! Happy Valentine's Day! God’s love may be divided up for an infinite number of people on earth, but because His love is eternal and without end, He can still infinitely pour out His love on you. Just for you.

💕Heart Fob by my friend Lisa 💕

My dear friend Lisa stitched me this 💗 and I made it into a little fob to hang from my corner shelf.

💗🤍💗🤍💗🤍💗🤍💗🤍💗

💘🤍Valentine by Cathy Roy 🤍💘

This is a free pattern. Thank you Cathy❣️ I stitched this two over two with DMC B5200 on 28ct dark red Jubilee. Backed with a Valentine fabric from my stash. All fabrics and trims are from my stash.

I have had questions before, "What is that?!" 😆Ha! THAT is one of my 1950 poodle Vallauris knife rests. No, I do not rest my knife on it. I bought him simply because I love him. 💖

📚🎧These Is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901, was a great read my friends! This historical fiction book tells the tale of a girl on the wagon train, and then her many life's adventures in Arizona Territory. I was just sorely disheartened to find out AFTER I listened to the book that these adventures of Sarah's were purely fictional. I actually emailed the author to ask! I really wanted to know. The story and the characters are SO GOOD! Sarah IS the author's Great Grandmother, but the detailed adventures are fictional. The author never had a diary that belonged to Sarah. It is still a great story and well worth your time.

I am now finally getting back to my monthly stitching. 😉 What are you stitching on right now?

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

I hope and pray that you are staying healthy my friends. I am so glad you took time to stop by today. Thank you especially to my friends who take time to comment.

Valentine Delivery

Hi friends! Valentine Delivery by me! 💌 (Be sure to click on it to enlarge it.)

I designed and stitched this way back in 2013❣️ I made it into a little poodle tin(small Altoid tin) for our mail lady back then. She gave our poodles dog treats often and was so very nice. She liked her gift!

I remembered the pattern today after all these years and would like to share it with you. Feel free to change the color of the poodles. The one on the right was our Mabel. The one on the left is our Henry! 💕 I would love to see your poodles. Please send me a picture and I will post it here on the blog.

🐩💌🐩💌🐩💌🐩💌🐩💌🐩

🗝️Love Is The Key by By The Bay Needleart 🗝️ This is a freebie from Donna.💝 I added 1Corinthians 13 at the bottom. If you are not familiar with that book of the Bible, I invite you to look it up and read it! It is the "LOVE" chapter. I have read it twice at two different weddings.

I am now stitching up a free Valentine pattern. I just cannot get enough of them!

You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.  Psalm 97:10

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Are you doing something special for Valentine's Day? We are not. Brian bought a specially decorated cake. That is about it!

Christmas Bells

Hi friends! I sure do miss waking up to the scent of bread baking before I even open my eyes. The building remains quiet for the most part of the entire day, every day. It will be interesting to see this new deli come to life.

Christmas Bells by The Primitive Hare🔔

This is a free pattern available here: http://www.theprimitivehare.com/free/christmasbells.pdf

I was inspired to stitch this pattern by my friend Colette from our stitch group, The Cross Stitcherhood. Colette explained the how she and her husband printed the lyrics to Silver Bells right on her linen, and we were all so awed! I just had to do it! I chose to print the lyrics to Carol of the Bells, the Christian version, using a Jane Austen font.🥰 I love it! I REALLY wanted "Jesus is King" to remain visible at the top.

I had ordered those little Tim Holz bells special on Amazon just for this finish! And I was going to attach them from the bow. Then inspiration struck! I think they look perfect down there, and it is like the space in the verse was created for it.

I have the back finished with a subtle gold/natural linen. This is filled with sawdust. I stitched this 1 over 2 on 40 ct with soie d'alger given to me by @lisakkretz. THIS is the the youtube video I watched to learn how to print on linen. Printed linen is SO EXPENSIVE! Just think of the money you can save!!

🔔🎵🔔🎵🔔🎵🔔🎵🔔🎵🔔

I have just completed two tiny Valentine pieces for the cubby shelf.  I want to stitch another Valentine piece. I absolutely LOVE stitching Valentine pieces!😍 Do you also?

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.  Luke 16:10

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday my friends. I am hoping for a peaceful week. We had two funerals in our family last week. 😢 One cousin is now a widower. One cousin is now a widow. That was hard.

Take care my friends. Hug your loved ones. BIG HUGS from me. God bless you.

Valentine Stitching

Hi friends! 💘Here is the February Cubby Shelf Display💘These are all stitched over one. Except the little February pillow on top.

💌💕February Corner Shelf💕💌

💘💕A little additional Valentine decorating💕💘 Madeleine says the garden girl looks like she is holding pink rocks. 🙃 Oh well. They are pink, sparkly hearts!

I have finished the Christmas stitch I was working on, and it has created quite the stir on Instagram. I am going to share that one next time. 😉

We have met our new landlandy. Let's just say, it was interesting. She is very nice, but...... Brian did ask her outright if they are going to raise the rent. That is the only time she did not make eye contact. She said, "Not for a few months." So, we have that at least. The deli plans downstairs sounds interesting. Her and her husband own multiple rental properties AND multiple businesses. Let's just say, without exaggeration, they ARE millionaires. Interesting. Very interesting. And I am leaving it at that.

I am still stitching the February monthly piece. I want to get a few Valentine pieces done too. Do you enjoy Valentine stitching? I LOVE stitching Valentine pieces! 😉 HA!

Rejoice always,  pray without ceasing,  in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Thank you so very much for stopping by. And thank you for leaving comments. I appreciate that! Each of your friendships over the years mean very much to me. God bless you my friends. 💕
