July Stitching

Hi friends! I completed the July SAL from our friend Palko. It took me a bit longer, as I used all metallic threads in this one.
This was stitched one over one on 25ct white evenweave using Artiste metallic thread in Royal Blue and Lipstick.
I am almost finishing up a July mini sampler. This also will be for my cubby shelf.

I saw the neurologist this week. He has put me on a beta blocker, at a very low dose. While this is typically used to treat high blood pressure(which I do NOT have at all), it is also used to treat migraines. Now I do not have migraines if you recall. I have "Intractable Tension Headaches". It is just a bit too early to tell if this is going to work for me yet. I am on the starting dose yet. He has had patients that have had this medication completely remove the headaches. We shall see.

Would any of my American friends want this SB pattern? I am sorry, it must be an American friend due to postage costs.
I thought I would stitch it, but I am not going to. So I want it to go to someone who will stitch it. Leave a comment below telling me you would like the chart. If more than one of you want it, I will draw a name and announce the winner next time. :)

It has been very hot here all week. I stay mostly inside in the A/C. Best way to avoid bad headaches. Good weather for tomatoes, green beans and summer squash though. :)

I hope you have an excellent weekend my friends! Thank you for stopping in.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Great work on your cubby samplers. Love the sparkle in July.

At least the doctor is prepared to try something different, maybe this will work for you.

I do hope this new medication helps you, Vickie. I never dreamed you would still be dealing with the headaches all these months later and I'm so sorry. Of course, I'm praying for you and for God's healing touch!

I would love the pattern and would definitely stitch it. It's just too adorable and I love the Americana theme! I've never seen that pattern before.

Have a lovely weekend and stay cool! ((hugs))

Blessings - Julie

Your little cubby looks great. I will continue to pray for you, I hope this new treatment will help. I would love to have my name added for the chart. It looks like all of the U.S. is heating up for the next few days. UGH I am only going out for work and back.

All your finishes look great. You are brave to use the metallic threads. I used some last Oct. and they gave me fits. I hope the headaches stay away for good very soon. Meanwhile stay cool!

Your finish is so bright and cheerful. Metallic floss can be challenging but I love the sparkle. I hope you feel better soon. My mom suffered migranes all the time also. She is on medicine and it helps so much.

You did a lovely job with the metallic threads - I always have a hard time with them. : ) Your little finish fits in with your other July finishes nicely! Hoping to hear that the new medicine has helped. Hugs.

Your cubby shelf holds some beautiful pieces. And your latest finish all stitched with metallics is a great addition to it. It certainly wasn't too much fun to stitch with the two metallics but the effect is awesome.

Your cubby has some really cute July pieces in it so far... good work! My daughter has been really suffering with migraines... in fact, today she is thinking about going to the ER. I will mention Intractable Tension Headaches--don't know if they ever considered them in diagnosing her, or just went straight to migraines. I pray the new meds take away your pain, all the way! Hugs!

Your July cubby looks great, Vickie! Don't know how you stitch with metallic threads--they just drive me crazy...

I do hope the beta blockers do some good--I guess at this point you'll try just about anything. It would be wonderful if those nasty headaches would finally be beaten!
