Pink Gifts

Hi friends! Our friend Charlene  sent me a surprise package of many pink things from her own stash.  Oh my! Check this out!
Wow! What awesome presents for me. I have only stitched with silk once. And it appears Charlene gave me every shade of pink by Madiera!! So cool! Not sure what I will do with that minky fabric, but I just love to touch it. :)  I have stitched a few projects on that raspberry linen pictured in the back, and love it. I was down to one tiny piece, not any more. Thank you so very much for the surprise gifts Charlene!

I have my hands full with the chocolate garden. I am putting in 6 hours a day! Can you believe I can manage that?!? I am sore and very tired at the end of the day, but I sleep great! ;)

We dug out the entire thing, removing every, single plant. Digging down deep and removing all grass roots. I am leaving a large gap between the rock border and the grass lawn. I will never go through this again.  It is positively horrid getting day lilies apart and stripping all grass! Nasty! The size of the garden bed is also decreased. I am sharing quite a few of these perennials with my mom.

Back to the garden I go. My right wrist is very sore, so I have not stitched in two days. Must finish the garden first. Then back to stitching.

Have a great week my friends!

Gardening and praying,
Vickie

WOW a pink treasure trove indeed! You will turn all those goodies into more priceless treasures:) Very happy you can work again in your garden. It's that time of year and that's what we've been doing too! But for us its mostly chopping back trees & bushes & lots of weeding.
Hope your garden turns out like you plan. love Annette

What a cool idea for a themed gift package! Love it!

We have a yard - not a garden. That says a lot about our outdoor landscaping skills!

Wow that is quite the stash of pink haha! Minky does feel so lovely and I'm sure a number of projects popped into your head with all the other things~ G'luck getting your garden the way you want it! I tend to have grand ideas and then just let the plants run amok hah.

Hello there! My new husband (5/1/2015) Derek and I have just finished digging and putting in our new garden as well. 128 sq. feet! Whew, that was a lot of work, but now I can stitch a little and wait for little green things begin to sprout! God bless.

The pink treasures are all real treasures and and I wish you could really enjoy them. i have been "playing" with my stash for a week (only very limited time by day because we have to run the trucking company)And I have found joy by sorting the mil Hill beads ,laces and ribbons.. It is the "me time" I need so badly a real Blessing from above. Thank You for your prayers- my DD seems to have started again recovery... Please keep on praying that she would find Jesus as her Saviour and Friend .My DD has been in my Sunday School trough her childhood, from age tree - to fourteen so she has all knowledge needed. Now we have to just wait that Holy Spirit will lead her to the Christ) Are you still praying with me ! I know you are my friend ... :) :)
