Good morning everybody! A cloudy, rainy day here. I drew the name for the La-D-Da pattern this morning and it is Amanda from Samplers,Silks and Linens. I am waiting for Amanda to email me back her postal address. "Praise God" is going on a loooong road trip to Taiwan!!
So the other day Madeleine and I went to Good Will. And I bought this for $3.00.
I know right?!? Ha! Just kidding. I do realize it is a bit, how shall we say it, ugly?, weird? But someone handmade this from wood. It is in perfect condition. I just plan on having it out in the garden somewhere. It makes me smile. =)
She and I also went to Salvation Army. I found this neat recipe box for a dollar.
And I found these, 3 for one dollar.
There were twice as many as these. I took the time to go through them and bought only the ones I would actually stitch from.
I am still stitching my little gift for the young mom and her baby. She stopped into school yesterday to say hi to her homeroom teacher. She looks good and is doing well. She did not have the baby with her! She will return to school at the start of November. Her mom will watch the baby during the day. God bless her mom and dad! Baby will be in a loving home with her mom and grandma and grandpa.♥
Have the best day you ever had my friends! I am so glad to have new followers! Hello to you! Come back now! =)
Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Hi Vickie - Great finds at Salvation Army. I really love the recipe box. I have several old xstitch magazines available on my blog for free. Please check it out and if you want any of them I'd be happy to send them to you. I just want them to find "good homes" with stitchers that will appreciate them. Thanks!
Very nice finds - the box is lovely.
Hi Vicki! I love all the great finds even the funky poodle find.

Congratulations to Amanda. I love the puppy, things that make you smile are always worthwhile, perhaps with the puppy you could decorate it for the seasons? :o}

Great little finds! I do like the doggie. You can practically see his tail going a mile a minute, with that look on his face. lol
Your poodle is ..um... interesting! LOL.
The magazines look great, I like the look of the sampler on the top one. You can tell an addict when she's enlarged the photo and is peering at the screen 2 inches away without her specs on to make out the design!
Wow ! I think you found lovely treasures. I would loved that box for one, LOL
I loved the pic of that amazing sunrise and that pincushion looks so yummy, I haven't had breakfast and I got hungry just looking, LOL
It did looked like a chocolate cupcake !
Bless you for your kind heart to the new mommy. I am sure she will appreciate it.
Woof! woof! to Mabel
Your poodle find made me smile, too. :) It's so you and will look good in the garden.
Great buy on the mags, too. 3 for $1! Wow!!
Great finds!! I can just picture that face like peeking through the gardens!
