Hi friends! Hello to my new followers! Here we are halfway through the month and I totally forgot to share my 🌸🐰April Corner Shelf🐰🌸 I am still displaying Easter and stitching bunnies the entire month, because Orthodox Easter is May 2nd.
In this picture the PINK rabbit on the right is my Easter bunny from my childhood. My brother Michael used to have a blue one also. I do not think Mike has it anymore. I do believe this little bunny is 50 years old now.💗 It was always in my Easter basket. It was obviously well loved. I told Madeleine it could be hers, but we always placed it high on a shelf in her bedroom, along with The Velveteen Rabbit book. I read that to her, and told her how this little bunny is kind of like that. Do you know, just this year, she told me that when she was little she never felt she could touch this rabbit? She thought this rabbit WAS the Velveteen Rabbit🐇!
I did see the physiatrist on Wednesday. The doctor is very nice. He decided to increase my duloxetine(Cymbalta) dosage. I am on the very lowest dosage possible. If that does not work, we will increase it again. If that does not work, I will have him give me a steroid shot.
“The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.” Psalm 147:11

Have a wonderful weekend , hugs.
So beautiful your corner shelf for April.
Wonderful memories about your little bunny.
I have always my first Teddy. He is over 50 years old.
Have a nice weekend.
Hugs, Manuela
Very cute displays & story.
I too have a childhood toy.
It's a gray stuffed cat.
I always carried it around by the neck, so the stuffing went to other parts.
Mom repaired it many times.
I don't have the heart to get rid of it. :)
Have a great weekend!

I have several stuffed animals and well-loved dolls from my childhood. Cute April shelf. I especially like Rejoice, Rejoice, O Christian. Hope the change in medicine helps. Hugs.
Your corner shelving unit for April looks great, Vickie. I don't have a stuffed animal from childhood, but I do still have my Topsy Turvy doll. I hope the increase in medication helps with the pain, Vickie. Have a wonderful weekend!
Love your corner shelf this month, very Spring-like.
I am glad you have your pink rabbit still.
My family also has a pink rabbit, now rather grey and faded! My Mum's younget brother was 17 when I was born and he presented me with his precious pink rabbit toy. It lived on a shelf at our various houses until my son was born and I passed it to him. When my Uncle died, I suggested to my son that it was time for Pink Rabbit to go back to their side of the family and we gave him to my cousin's young son with strict instructions to look after him as he was over 60 years old by this time!
I also have a 54 year old teddy, a 52 year old teddy and three dolls over 50 years old. Mum has two China dolls that are over 70, we were allowed to play with them very carefully as children.
Can you tell we never throw things out?
Love the corner shelf display!
I love your corner shelf, you always decorate it so beautifully and appropriately. The pink bunny is cute. A wonderful memory.
I have a little teddy bear that I once got from a grandfather that I never really got to know. But I love this teddy bear and he's sitting next to my bed. He should be over 50 years old by now. I never played with him, I guarded him like a treasure.
Have a nice weekend, Martina
Another beautiful corner shelf, Vickie and I've added another book to my 'to read' list!
I hope that your increased medication dosage works.
So good that you saw the doctor, Vickie, and I truly hope and pray the increased dosage helps you out! Your corner shelf looks so cute--I especially love the Jelly Beans piece. I bought that chart, but just didn't have time to stitch it this year with my traveling. Must make a point of stitching it next year.
No, I don't have any toys at all from my childhood, although all of my sons do. In fact I just gave my oldest son's Curious George stuffed animal to Baby B and he fell in love with it--so glad I kept it for almost 40 years :)
Hi Vickie: What a wonderful display, adding a bunny from your past adds a very special touch to your display.
I must look up this book.
Catherine
