Sampling Thanksgiving

Hi friends! I wanted to post sooner. It has been very rainy and dreary here. I could not get any decent pictures of my finish at all. I had to wait. So here I am now. Let me share my latest finish with you.
This is Lizzie Kate's Sampling Thanksgiving. So cute, isn't it? I have placed it in the same frame that I had  Lizzie Kate's A Little Beach on display this summer.
I stitched this with all the called for DMC and the called for WDW onyx.  I stitched it two over two on one of my mystery 30 count linens.

I have a proposition for you. Do any of you want this pattern? I have obviously used the acorn charm that comes with the pattern. Here is what I would like. I would like to give this chart to someone who would give me Lizzie Kate Merry String in exchange.

Or perhaps any one of the Lizzie Kate Flip It Months. How does that strike you?  Let me know in your comment or email me. 😊

I am stitching up the November wreath for the cubby shelf.

I watch Barb and Leanne from "Lost In Floss"/Flosstube, they live right here in Southeastern Wisconsin. Barb has great success going to her Goodwill store. She finds wonderful cross stitch stash and other cool finds. So I went this weekend. Thought I would give it a try. I had not gone in half a year to look for "good stuff". Our Goodwill store reeks of mildew and it triggers migraines for me. Unfortunately scents really affect me. Anyhow, you wanna know my GREAT find?? A 50 cent kit. Complete with hoop, aida, needle, floss and pattern. For a happy face poop emoji!!!

Um, no thanks! Barb has all the luck!
Four Funerals and Maybe a Wedding by Rhys Bowen was a great book. I love all the books in the "A Royal Spyness Mystery"series. They are fun and keep you guessing. I love the characters in the series as well.
In the days leading up to her wedding to Darcy O'Mara, Lady Georgiana Rannoch takes on the responsibilities of a grand estate, but proving she can run a household just may be the death of her in the new Royal Spyness Mystery from the New York Times bestselling author of On Her Majesty's Frightfully Secret Service.

If only Darcy and I had eloped! What I thought would be a simple wedding has been transformed into a grand affair, thanks to the attendance of the queen, who has offered up the princesses as bridesmaids. Silly me! I thought that withdrawing from the royal line of succession would simplify my life. But before Darcy and I tie the knot in front of queen and country, we have to find a place to live as man and wife...

House hunting turns out to be a pretty grim affair. Just as we start to lose hope, my globetrotting godfather offers us his fully staffed country estate. Mistress of Eynsleigh I shall be! With Darcy off in parts unknown, I head to Eynsleigh alone, only to have my hopes dashed. The grounds are in disarray and the small staff is suspiciously incompetent. Not to mention the gas tap leak in my bedroom, which I can only imagine was an attempt on my life. Something rotten is afoot--and bringing the place up to snuff may put me six feet under before I even get a chance to walk down the aisle...
🙏🙏🙏
My friends, Scott's health is failing. He is in the hospital hooked up to a machine to help him breathe. Please pray for him, Jenny, and his two adult children, Andrew and Emily, in this very, very difficult time.
🙏🙏🙏
I hope you have a wonderful week my friends! Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate all of your comments and I reply to all of them, as long as you are not "no-reply".

My heart is broken for Jenny and the kids as they face this struggle with Scott. I'm praying that they will experience comfort over uncertainty and peace over fear. Thank you so much for keeping us updated.

Vickie, thank you so much for keeping me in the loop about Scott and Jenny and their family. I am praying for strength, comfort and healing for all of them.

So ironic that you posted about second-hand store shopping! I just finished writing my latest post about the SAME thing (it will be up in about an hour) and I have a giveaway! My first giveaway! So this should be fun. livetostitch.blogspot.com

I usually have about the same luck you did when I go second-hand shopping. The poop emoji kit! Oh, lord! Do people actually make that??? The thrift store in my hometown (population 997) rarely has cross-stitch items, but occasionally I luck out. The latest trip was a landfall - I found my giveaway kit, plus a neat old chart with LINEN tucked inside the plastic bag (25 cents!), crocheted lace, old buttons and upholstery thread (perfect for lacing/framing). I was ecstatic. I got all that for less than two bucks total.

Your Lizzie Kate stitch is so sweet, and the frame is cute! Oh, don't you just love finding the perfect frame? Especially when you can use it for multiple projects to change up your decor.

Prayers for Scott and his family. May they be surrounded by His love and may His Spirit comfort them now and in the future. God Bless them all.

Your stitchy finish looks cute. Hey, don't forget to check out Lizzie Kates blog, she has a free pattern for Fall on there. It's super cute, too.

Love Floss Tube...thanks for letting me know about them.

Wishing you a lovely day sweet friend. ((hugs))

Your LK Thanksgiving piece is so cute! I too love being able to switch projects out of the same frame seasonally.
Hope Scott, Jenny and family find peace knowing so many are praying for them.

I am so sorry for Scott and his family and will keep them all in my thoughts. Your stitching is perfect as always. I would not be interested in the pattern but I do have L&K Friends #47 with the snowman and cardinal if you are interested.

Love the frame you have the LK finish in, great idea to swap charts, I usually sell the ones i'm finished with but swapping might be a better option.
In the US people seem to have much better finds in Charity Shops than we do here in the UK, although i always have a look i never drop lucky with frames, or anything really.
So sorry about your friend, it must be very hard on his family.

I love your finish! So cute! I never have luck finding good things at thrift stores either. I always envy those who score good bargains. Of course my prayers go to Scott and his family. And to you too. Hope you are doing well.

Continuing to pray for Scott, Jenny, and their family.

Such a cute finish! I usually don't have much luck in thrift stores, but last week I really scored on Facebook Marketplace! A lady in my area was selling a big bag of Christmas fabrics for a great price, and I got it! That's pretty lucky for me! I can use these for Christmas ornament finishing and small sewing projects. Prayers for Scott and his family. So sorry to hear this.

I just adore your frame! Your LK looks good in it. I don't usually have much luck at my GW either when it comes to stitchy stuff.

Cute finish! Hope you find an exchange partner; Merry String is quite cute as well.

Ah, Goodwill. Friends and family are a bit envious of my luck in all aspects of life there ahaha :) The SVdP stores are quite good in our area.

I'm so sorry to hear about Scott's situation. I hope the machine provides some relief for him. The family too.
