Pink Hill Manor

Hi friends! How are you? I hope things are going well for you and the weather is great where you are. I know some of you do not have things too great right now, and I am praying for you dear friends. If you need me to pray for you, just email me.💕

Thank you for all of your wonderfully encouraging comments you left me last time. You really know how to make a stitcher feel good!😉 I have been stitching on Pink Hill Manor by Blackbird Designs, the next pattern in the AotH series. There was a slight delay in my start because wow, the DMC colors they recommend do NOT come close to matching the picture on the pattern front. Why do I continue to be surprised by this?! I don't know! DUH! So I went through that painful process of pulling many, many flosses and making decisions and combinations and new decisions, but I do believe I have it all figured out to my liking now.
One over one on 25ct Cream Edinburgh linen
The two pink flosses shown are the two I used to make up the flowers in the borders. I just did my own thing with those flowers. Each flower contains both colors. Every other flower alternates which pink dominates it, if you know what I mean?

Here is the whole sampler thus far:
Have to use pink scissors with pink scissors fob on Pink Hill Manor!!
I had only two stitchers enter my giveaway for the cross stitch pattern Be The Brightest by Isabella Abiati of the Primitive Hare. The winner is 🐩 Varla 🐩

The Botox injections kicked in and are helping with the daily chronic tension/migraine headaches. Those are very reduced. This is great news. I will get another round of Botox injections in less than three months then. There is hope that the Botox injections can actually cure my headaches. AS IN TAKE THEM AWAY FOREVER! Oh please God, let it be so. The not so great news is that the Botox does not work on my menstrual migraines. Those are severe and usually last at least 5 days. I know from speaking with several of you, that many of you know about this first hand. It stinks real bad!! I have Relpax to get me through these times. It doesn't work that great, but it is better than nothing of course. Until I go "through my change" I think I will be stuck with these awful menstrual migraines for years. That is what I am reading and that is what you all are telling me. Oh boy.😞

I hope you have a wonderful weekend whatever you are doing my friends. Hug the ones you love. Say I love you today!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Yes, almost always the photo of the design doesn't do justice to the actual stitched piece! I do like your color substitution, and your stitching is beautiful. I'm so glad to hear that you are getting some relief from your pain and I hope that continues indefinitely! Your blog is always such a positive place and I love visiting.

Pink Hill Manor is so pretty. So glad that the Botox is working. I only ever had a migraine prior to my menstrual cycle. Now that I am post menopausal, my migraines are gone. I hope yours may at least subside slightly with the continued Botox. Hugs.

Vickie that is wonderful news about the Botox treatments relieving a lot of your pain. I know how happy you must be about that. Maybe in time it will help the other cause of your headaches too.

Love your color choices. Perfect for our "pink" friend. Have a lovely weekend. RJ @stitchingfriendsforever2

Good news regarding the Botox! Finally! I'm not a border/flower stitcher but that one is divine.

Beautiful stitching. I have some of these designs and am planning one day to get them all, although I haven't decide whether or not I will do them separately or all together. It is so annoying when the colours don't work out!!

You made a great start on Pink Hill Manor. And of course, you have to use pink scissors for it, lol.
So great to read that the Botox is working.

I am so glad to hear the Botox injections are working. It is a shame they don't work on menstrual headaches too. I (rather luckily) found a way to control mine even if they were an excellent warning of what was to come (hah). Not worth it to have them though. Is Relpax like a super Excedrin Migraine?

Is it nice working with pink again after finishing all those signatures (congrats on that btw)? And do you ever NOT use pink scissors with a pink scissor fob? ;)

The two pinks you chose look lovely together. I do wonder why the conversions are so inaccurate? Maybe the hand dyed threads change over time and DMC don't?

Glad the Botox works, it will be lovely to be pain free in the future.

I'm so happy the botox is working! But not happy about the menstrual migraines. I wonder why the botox doesn't work for those? Sigh. Continued prayers for you. I love your AotH block -- the colors look amazing! Worth all the effort of figuring them out!

I am so happy to hear the shots are helping! Praying every day that you will one day be headache free!

Have a wonderful Sunday my dear friend! I know you are praying for me and that means so very much! I couldn't do this without you :)! Sending lots of hugs and love!!

Love your color choices, Vickie! I seem to be choosing more and more colors on my own because of the mismatch between the real colors and those chose on the chart front. It really is frustrating...

What great news about the shots doing their job--what a relief. As far as the menstrual headaches, you can always hope for early menopause :)

Hope you enjoy your Memorial Day, Vickie!

So glad the Botox injections are helping and praying that the headaches will be eliminated. Pink Hill Manor is coming along nicely. I do consignment stitching and more often than not, I'm told to match the picture of the design and not pattern. I like the colors you have selected :)

Have a great weekend.

Pink Hill Manor is stitching up beautifully! When taking pics of my work, I rarely get the colors true to life. It usually takes more fiddling than what I'm willing to do.

Good news about the botox - continuing to pray for healing. Hugs!
