Mug Rug

Hi friends!

I made a birthday gift for our friend June. I wanted a finish for her that was different, so I did up a mug rug. You may recall this freebie pattern I stitched back in March, that you can find right HERE.
I stitched it for June. Yep, I knew it would be for her. Her favorite color is Duck Egg Blue, I chose a blue 28ct linen I had in my stash.
June loves bunnies. I could not resist giving this bunny a Wisper tail. ;) The rest is stitched in DMC. There is also a butterfly for our dear June of course! And sweet flowers. We both love our gardens.

Here are pictures of my garden from this weekend. Our graduation party was a success. The weather was a gorgeous 72º. No headache inducing heat for me!! The poodles brought lots of smiles with their party attire.
I will be back next time with a June finish to share with you. Thank you for your encouraging comments. You are so kind and I am glad you stopped by today. Have a great week!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Hi Vickie,

What a lovely mug rug for your friend!
The garden looks fabulous and such a nice view, that 'flowering chair';)
You gave me a big laugh with that last picture. Typical American poodles or what? :)

Have a good day, my friend!
Love, Carolien

Dear Vickie,
a particularly sweet MugRug is because you jumped from the needle. I like very much the colors and arrangement of the materials, the embroidery anyway ..smile ..
I hope you it is otherwise well

Very cute gift for our friend, June, Vickie! I would be afraid to use it as a mug rug--though; it is far too pretty.

Have been away visiting my mom and just noticed your previous post with your trio--how cute are those little ties and necklace. Hope they enjoyed the party--congratulations again to your young adults :)

I have been wanting to try my hand at making mugrugs for a couple of years now... maybe this year! It could happen! I know June loved hers from you... Your garden looks great! I don't have that kind of room.... Thanks for sharing!

Your backyard is so nice and welcoming. I miss having a back lawn with being in a drought for two years we let our little patch of lawn die. Hopefully next spring we will have the funds to replace it. Glad the party was a hit.
