Beauty In Bloom

Hi friends! I finished the May freebie by our friend Palko you can find right HERE. I even finished it on the last day of May. ;) It is all ready to display for next year. I did not want to fall behind in my monthly cubby shelf patterns. So far, I have not.
I stitched this one over one on 25ct Bo Peep Pink Lugana with "Gypsy" Artiste floss. This is a floss I got from the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby for 18¢.
Would you like to see the first birthday present I received this year? I love it! Madeleine painted a tiny 2x2 canvas of Henry. ♥
The vegetable garden is all in. I am chasing weeds as I can. I have to work in the garden when I can. Which is only when it is cool, otherwise I get horrid headaches from the heat. I have to hide out from the heat, then my headaches have been staying quite low. Yay! If I am out for any reason in the heat, I suffer for it. I still have Imitrex, my prescription from the doctor, to take the headache pain down when things get bad. Ice helps too. Unfortunately, it takes quite a while for things to return to a "normal low headache" though.

I have made up a birthday gift for a friend I will share with you later this month, once it is received. I am now stitching up the July Year of Celebrations pattern by Hands On Design.

Thank you for stopping by today my friends! Your words of encouragement truly make me smile. I hope you have a wonderful  weekend!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Hi Vickie, Lovely stitching as usual. I am so happy to hear that you are out in your garden and accomplishing so much, albeit at your own pace. Which is a good thing...keep moving if you can. Lovely portrait too. Happy June to you.

Vickie: The picture Madeleine painted is so good, she is a great painter, what a lovely gift to you.
I do hope your headaches go away, I used to get horrible headaches until, they took out the silver fillings in my teeth.
I love the May stitch the colors make me smile.
I have never heard of that kind of floss before, I hope it is a good one.
Time to go drink coffee and stitch.

Blessings

Hi Vickie, I decided to catch up with friends tonight instead of stitching. I really like yours and I am so glad the headaches aren't as bad. I don't like this time of the year because I get headaches from going in and out of air conditioning. I like the painting of Henry. Why do authors rope you in with their first bood and then the second one is not as good? I do quite a bit of reading. Hugs and prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

What a pretty May finish, Vickie; love the thread color! Madeleine is very talented - such a tiny, detailed piece. I know what you mean about the heat making your headaches worse. As much as I didn't want to, I had to break down and turn on the air conditioner. I'm glad that your headache pain has lessened! Enjoy your weekend!

Such a cute May finish! When you stitch over one on 25, do you use one strand of floss, or two? Sweet little painting of Henry!

What a sweet little finish for May!
I'm glad you're not here in Kennewick today, since you're so sensitive to the heat! It's going to be over 100 degrees the next couple of days. But after the sun goes down, we have some lovely long evenings. :)
