Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Finally!

Hi friends! Hot around here again this week. The vegetable garden continues to do well. We still have tomatoes, beans, lettuce(beginning to bolt), cucumbers and zucchini. We ate our first acorn squash too. I am telling you, I have been eating them since I was a girl, but wow! This acorn squash was the best I have ever had. I am waiting on an eggplant. Boy are they ever pretty.

I have finally made up my first cube finish. I used Vonna's cube tutorial. Thank you Vonna! Easy to do. Putzy to make. Remember this LK Thankful String I stitched up almost a year ago?
This chart was a gift from Tricia that I passed on to Andrea. I stitched this on 28ct light mocha linen two over two.
I bought this fabric just for this finish. :) It is new fabric to JoAnn. It is made in America.
I received pink fabrics in the mail from our friend Brigitte. Thank you Brigitte! I continue to draw closer to my goal for that Epic Pink Tumbler Quilt. I cut more tumblers and pieced them in rows.
Our little Mabel has not really improved. She bears little weight on her back, right leg. I am waiting to hear back from the veterinarian today. Thank you for praying for her. You friends are so caring. ♥ Please continue to pray. We have not lost hope. She had a bad episode a few years ago when we thought "this is it for her", and it was not!

I am stitching up a sweet freebie and making up a few gifts for friends.

I am still reading the Holy Bible daily. It truly takes commitment!

Blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen. Psalm 72:19

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

What a cute way to finish that long piece. Did you cut styrofoam to fit? That part sounds complicated if you did.

Sending good thoughts for Mabel's recovery.

Have a nice holiday weekend!

What a great finish Vickie.

I am thinking of Mabel and hoping you do see an improvement, thinking of you and your family too.It is very hard to see a loved pet with health problems.

Good morning, Vickie. Sorry to hear about Mabel. It is very difficult when we watch the ones we love suffer.

I love your cube! I have done several cubes, but never one that long. That is a great idea. I will need to take a peek at my "finished" pile and see if I've got one to finish-finish that way.

I love this finish! I've wanted to stitch some of those long narrow pieces before, but was never sure how I would finish them. This is perfect! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Vicki, I was hoping to see a post that Mabel was improving. I will just keep saying prayers for you all that she does. I always enjoy seeing what you are working on lately. I really like your cube. Take care Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

I think that is the perfect finish for a long narrow seasonal piece of stitching, Vickie! Great job--where would we be without Vonna's helpful tutorials?

I'm so sorry to hear that Mabel is still suffering... poor little thing. Hopefully, she will recover just like she did a few years ago--she is a fighter, I'm sure!

I'm not sure on the size of this but wouldn't something like that make an amazing door sock! I am jealous that you are still getting lettuce! Ours never did anything with the weird spring weather. I'm hoping the fall planting will be much better.

Nice cuboid! It would look lovely along the length of a mantelpiece.

The cube finish may have been putzy but the finished product doesn't show it - it's beautiful! Great job!

So sorry to hear Mabel isn't improving. I hope that turns around soon!

Love, love, love your cube finish. I would have never had the idea to finish such a long piece as a cube finish. But that idea is fantastic!
Good to know that the fabrics arrived safely.

I LOVE your finish - I've just finished Spooky String and am going to shamelessly copy you! Just one question - what does putzy mean? Cos if it means hard then I might have to rethink as my finishing skills aren't up to much.
Praying for Mabel x
