Keepin' Busy

Hi friends! I have been busy stitching, but I cannot show you just yet. I need to get busy with finishing. I have several pieces waiting now. I can show you a giveaway win I received from our friend Sally.
I have been weeding in the garden.
All five of us went to see the movie Inside Out. An innocent, good movie.

Madeleine's first day of work is tonight. She got a job at a local frozen yogurt shop.

The boys work tomorrow, so it is just Brian, Madeleine and I off to Cedarburg tomorrow. We are going to the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts. Woo hoo! My baby brother is performing there in their Barn Gallery with his band, Brewgrass.  He plays mandolin. Tomorrow is the Strawberry Festival in gorgeous Cedarburg. So I can support my brother while admiring stitching! Great plan, right? I am bringing the camera. ;)

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Your garden is so pretty....and those birds! Wow! I don't get colorful birds in my garden except the orioles that stop by the hummingbird feeder. I hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow. Quilts, music, AND strawberries? You are going to have fun!

Hi Vicki, I am so glad to you came for a visit. My grandson wants to go see the movie that you saw. The previews looked like it would be an enjoyable movie. We have been doing this and that. We had rain and some lost their electricity last night. I was lucky and didn't lose mine. It was enough rain to cancelled quite a few things. I always enjoy seeing what you are working on and your flowers are so pretty. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend Shirley

Oh please do take pics of your outing! I've always wanted to learn to play mandolin -- so cool that your brother plays and is in a band. And the venue -- sounds like heaven!

Love your garden -- it's so so pretty! Hope Madeleine's first day of work goes well. Good for her for getting that summer job.

I hope to see Inside Out sometime. It looks so cute!

Lovely flowers from your garden. Yep, moral support for brother and enjoy the stitchy stuff, that's quite a balance right there, lol. Looking forward to those wonderful pics you'll get from the museum..and the band performance too, haha.

All my growing years, we had a mandolin hanging on the wall in our basement. No one ever played it... it was just there... Many times I wondered why it was there, and where it came from... along with the brass knuckles. It was mostly my Dad's domain, so I can only guess! Hope the trip was fun... (you probably have blogged about it, but I am behind in reading posts... again...) The birds seem to be enjoying your flowers--how wonderful!! Hugs!

Your irises look great. Mine did not do well this year, too long since I separated them. What a great way to spend your days, quilts and then strawberries. FUN!!
