A Little Valentine Stitching

Hi friends! Still cold and snowy here. At least the frigid, subzero temperatures from the beginning of this week are going away for now. The kids had school closed on Monday and Tuesday due to the bitter cold.

I put away the winter smalls and took out my Valentine smalls. The sweet, little, red heart box that Peggy made me last year was tucked in there. I decided I would like to stitch a little something for the top of that box.I had this pretty, little floral freebie sitting in my stash for a while. I am sorry I do not have a link for you. Sometimes I forget to jot that down when I print them off.
I stitched this two over two on 28ct rose evenweave.
I chose my  own DMC colors as I could not figure out what colors and numbers the German chart was referring to.
I am still stitching on Theotokos. I just needed a small break, the frogs visited.

I know the Chicken Soup For The Soul books are nothing new. But we have two different versions of them that we own. I read the first, original version at the end of last year. I just read the Christian Teen Talk version. I really find those books uplifting, ya know? And they are good to read more than once, especially if it has been a few years.

I finished listening to On The Banks Of Plum Creek and By The Shores Of Silver Lake. I am enjoying every, single one of these books in the series. =)

Here is another picture of the poodles sunning themselves. This time they are chewing rawhide bones. Yes, Mabel is chewing her bone while lying on her back. ;)
Have a stitchtastic week my friends! Thank you for your friendship.♥

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Oh your V-Day stitch is lovely. I also love the crochet doily you have in the photo,t oo...do you crochet?

Awww Mabel cracks me up..she is such a little dare devil chewing that while on her back. Ahhh Henry is looking on and appears to be as impressed as I am with her, too! They are, as always, adorable.

I am so sorry that nasty frog has visited you! Apparently, (after my knitting issues) he gets around! :)

Blessings always sweet friend.

I will change out to Valentine's day decor at the end of the month. You did a great job on that freebie, and it looks great on the box! Love the shot of Mabel on her back! We got 9 inches of snow! Lots of higher drifts! Brrrr...

Your stitching on the heart box is really pretty and I do the exact same thing with freebies. I'm always thinking I have no idea who's design it is so I never post pictures because I'd hate to offend a designer by not crediting them.

And oh my, sweet Mabel gnawing on her bone just makes me smile. The fur babies just add so much to our lives and btw, tell Henry he looks cute as well.

My eye is always drawn to stitched roses. So beautiful. You did a wonderful job figuring out thread colors!
Seeing your poodles makes me want to go lay on the kitchen floor where the sun shines in every morning! I think I'd need Masterchief to help me up though.

Your heart finish is just wonderful! And the pups are adorable of course! Hope you're keeping warm! I often wonder if I should re-read the Little House books. I read them when I was in elementary school. lol!

What a pretty motif for a lovely box.
Mabel reminds me of our much loved and sorely missed, border collie who also used to lie on her back to chew bones and squeak her toys:-)
