Good morning everybody! How are you today? It will be over 100º today! Yuck! I am getting close to a finish on Praise God.
I just have the flowers to stitch on this.
I just finished The Lover's Knot by Clare O'Donohue. It wasn't that great. To make it worse she used swear words. I should not have even continued. I will not be reading anymore in this series.
This is the habit Mabel has taken up again. When the kids leave their backpacks on the kitchen floor while doing homework at the kitchen table, Mabel sleeps on them. You might have figured out this is Madeleine's and not one of the boys backpacks. ;)
My doctor ordered a MRI for me. It will take a few weeks for insurance and the appt to be set up. He says that things change in our bodies. I have not had a MRI since I fell 7 1/2 years ago. We need to see what is going on now he says. My pain increase this year should not be happening. Well, we will see. I am praying that this MRI shows them exactly and precisely what my problem is. That way we can treat it . Or possibly even fix it?!? Those are my hopes and thoughts. Not the doctor's.
Thank you for visiting me today new and old friends. I appreciate you and your comments. Have a great day in the Lord.

Meet Winky
Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great day. I accidentally bit down on a cherry pit yesterday and was rewarded with the sickening crack of my lower left molar. A piece broke off. Not too much pain really. Unfortunately, it is a time of insurance change. We have been to the same dentist since Brian and I were teenagers!! We hated leaving him. So, like dummies, we put off finding a new dentist under this insurance. Now I can't get in until Tuesday, and who knows when the tooth will actually get fixed!
So, this is Winky. He is Madeleine's parakeet. He is 4. He has never said a word!! We try and try and try.
I made him some birdie samplers on plastic canvas. I think he loves them. ;) These are parts I used from freebies.
Have a most wonderful day in the Lord my new and old friends!
Still stitching and still praying,

The Toad Hunter
Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great day so far. We are going to go out on the lake with family on a pontoon boat this afternoon. It is going to be hot and sunny. It should be a fun time.
Yesterday I forced myself to get some much needed pruning and weeding done. With such extreme, hot weather this summer, I left a lot of garden chores til now. As usual my little garden buddy was with me.
This is how Mabel helps remove spent daylilies.
You are looking at the picture of a hunter ladies!
Oh yes! It's true! Mabel has finally, finally found one thing on this planet she is not afraid of.
Toads! You cannot really tell from the picture, it is about the size of a tangerine. Such bravery for aten, eleven pound poodle. I have read in the past that they are poisonous for dogs. So into the house Mabel went. It took her three years to discover they are here in our gardens. Now that she knows, she checks for them when she is with me. I will have to keep an eye on her. ;)
Here is Little Miss Sassy watching for potato peelings later as I made dinner. Whenever I make mashed potatoes, she is right there to find any peelings that miss the garbage and hit the floor.
Here she is just before the kids came in for the night. Maybe a new talent? Mastering the skateboard? Nah!
Hello new followers! I am so happy to have you here. Thank you dear friends for all of your lovely comments. You make me happy! I will stitch a little bit today. I did finish Mortal two days ago. It is a great book. Can't wait for #3 in the series.

This Is Where I Work =)
Good morning everybody! I hope you are having a super day. It is warm and sunny here. =)
Yesterday Chris asked us what our work area looks like. Well, this would be one of the main work areas for me!
Welcome to our kitchen! Yes, I am a stay at home mom. A homemaker. Yup, that's me. You can see the poodle needlepoint sampler wall. I stitch at the kitchen table too. I need to sit upright to avoid pain with my hip.
You can find this in our kitchen too.
This too.♥
And almost always this little one too. =) ♥♥♥
I am still stitching on Praise God. I am also still reading Mortal by Ted Dekker.
Welcome new followers! Love to have ya! Thank you everyone who takes time to leave me a comment. I appreciate you! Have a fantastic day in the Lord my friends.

We Have A Winner!
Good morning everybody! Another beautiful summer day here today. :) I drew the winner's name this morning. Can you see who it is?
That's right! Hooray it is our friend Margaret. Margaret, I have emailed you. Please send me your postal address. :) The favorite Garden Party attendee by far was the center peacock!
This was my last daylily, Chocolate Splash.
I am still putting stitches in Praise God, just not very quickly. ;)
Have a great day in the Lord everyone.♥

A Harness
Good morning everybody! It has cooled off a bit around here. That is so nice. We have been watching the Olympics. I did sew this over the weekend.
I found the tutorial for it here a year ago. I decided it was finally time to make it for Mabel. She has gained a little weight since starting steroids a few months ago. The harness is much easier on her two slipped discs when she is able to go for her short walks. The doctor says not to go longer than 5 minutes twice a day for now. Don't want to cause a relapse of pain flare up.
Not the best modeling picture, I know. Someone was being a little sassy!
Now I am back to stitching on Praise God. Slow, but steady. :)
I will draw the winner of my giveaway tomorrow. Here is a last picture of Mabel enjoying the sunshine in the nicer weather.
Have a great day in the Lord everyone. Thanks for stopping by. Your comments are dear to me. I want you to know that. :)

Lunch Bag And Pinkness
Hi everybody! Welcome new followers! So glad to have ALL of you here.
This is what I stitched up the other day for Miss Madeleine. I found the tutorial online here. She was not pleased with the lunch bags we found around town.
We found this cute purse at Goodwill a while ago. A Kate Spade purse.
In great condition. Ready for it?? $7.99! hee hee
Found these at Kohl's Department Store a few days ago on clearance for $13.99. :)
Never owned Crocs before. They are comfy. :)
I already owned these.
Don't you own pink shoes?? :)
Take care friends. Thanks for taking the time to leave me comments. You are so sweet. ♥
If you want to win the chart I am giving away, see yesterday's post.

Giveaway Time
Good morning everybody! We have been enjoying cooler nights here lately. It is wonderful to sleep with the windows open.
Last week I finished this.
I made this pinpillow from the chart Maggee had given me a couple months ago. My husband says he likes this one best. ;) HA! He says that after every finish!
I stitched this one up as directed on the pattern. One over one, on 32 ct Light Sand Belfast Linen. I did have to switch out two floss colors for darker shades. I used all DMC. I also used B5200 white instead of the creamy white recommended. It showed much nicer.
Here's the back for ya. I wanted to use a solid piece of the light blue material, but I only had a long strip of it left. It is leftover from our quilt I made 3 years ago. So is the other material. See, those strips of material were worth saving. :) The lace is from JoAnn.
So how would you like to stitch this up yourself? I will not be stitching it again, so I would like to give it to YOU! You need to do three things to enter this giveaway:
1. Be or become a follower.
2. Leave a comment on this post.
3.This is the fun one. ;) Your entry does not count unless you tell me which garden party attendee is your favorite. Wanna know my favorite? The pink bird flying in on the left. The one with her hat strapped on. :)
I will draw a winner next Tuesday, August 14th.
That's it! That's all folks! I am stitching up a lunch bag for Miss Madeleine today. She was not happy with any we found in the stores. This one is a small bag, almost purse like. We went to JoAnn yesterday and found the fabrics. She will be a freshman soon! :) I will have pictures for you soon.
Have a great day in the Lord my friends.

The Ladybug
Hey everybody! Hello new friends! So glad you joined us. I am so happy to have all of you here. :)
As you know, I recently won a fabulous giveaway Peggy was having. When the box arrived, it was wrapped in brown paper with little ladybugs stamped all over it. I knew immediately, before opening it, that I had the theme for my thank you and birthday gift to her. Peggy's birthday is on Tuesday, so I am very happy she received her gift yesterday.
I had a book checked out from our library already, Pretty Little Pincushions. I really wanted to make some bottle cap pincushions. After receiving my gift from Peggy all wrapped up in ladybugs, I ran back to that library book. I thought I had seen a ladybug pincushion, I did!
Isn't she just adorable!♥ I am pleased to say Peggy thinks so. :) This was the first bottle cap pincushion I have made. It will not be the last!
This was also the first time I made my own counting pins. What fun!! I have made more. This is addicting.
Well, keep watch my friends. I will next be posting a giveaway. ;)

Poodle Paws
Hey everybody! Mabel wanted to be part of Parsley's PAWty!
I received Mabel as a Mother's Day gift 3 years ago. Brian surprised me with this decision. I wanted a toy poodle 3 dogs ago! We brought her home, and the kids were caught completely off guard. Emerson asked, "Is that a toy?" :) She was only a 2 lb black puffball.
Here is my very short, super adorable video of Mabel to share with you.
♥SQUEE!! ♥
I finished reading Lady In Waiting by Susan Meissner. Wonderful, excellent book. If you like historical fiction, read this.Take a look here for a short idea of what the book is about. I enjoy this author. Have not read a book by her I do not like. I have now just begun the latest book by Ted Dekker, my favorite author. :) It's called Mortal: The Book of Mortals. This would be book 2 of this new series.
I did most of the finishing on my latest pinpillow. Not completely done though. Will finish that up today. So I will have pictures for you soon. I hope to share some more photos with you next week of a present I made up recently.
