Hi friends! Let me share what Brian, Emerson, and Madeleine found in their stockings yesterday morning.
⭐"Grumpy Kitty"⭐ a free pattern from Brookes Nolan you can find RIGHT HERE ❄️Which is now Cally Kitty❄️ I knew this pattern would work perfectly for me to change into Cally, just a lot of work!
I stitched this two over two on lovely sparkly mottled blue and white 32ct linen using DMC, mostly my own color choices for obvious reasons. I am happy to say everyone had a very good laugh. 😂 Well, not Cally. 😾
I baked Pumpkin Yeast Bread this weekend.
The little one I took to the newlyweds when we took their St. Nick stocking to them. We left these items on the front porch of their apartment and waved to Jacob through their apartment window. When we went to our car and I rolled down my window, he came out to the porch and got the stocking. He saw the ornament I made them, and smiled so big. He said it was perfect and thank you.🥰 Jacob has improved. Kristen unfortunately has gotten COVID now. Jacob says she has it worse than he did. He said she was writhing in pain. 😢And Kristen has final exams this week. Yes, she is working and attending University. I hope professors are compassionate during this pandemic? The winner of the Lizzie Kate Thank chart is:Linda! This is the second book I have read by this author. I really liked this book. It was a book about Alzheimer's disease, however the main characters are young, 38 and 41. And they fall in love. Very interesting.
Anna Forster is only thirty-eight years old, but her mind is slowly slipping away from her. Armed only with her keen wit and sharp-eyed determination, she knows that her family is doing what they believe to be best when they take her to Rosalind House, an assisted living facility. But Anna has a secret: she does not plan on staying. She also knows there’s just one another resident who is her age, Luke. What she does not expect is the love that blossoms between her and Luke even as she resists her new life. As her disease steals more and more of her memory, Anna fights to hold on to what she knows, including her relationship with Luke. Eve Bennett, suddenly thrust into the role of single mother to her bright and vivacious seven-year-old daughter, finds herself putting her culinary training to use at Rosalind house. When she meets Anna and Luke, she is moved by the bond the pair has forged. But when a tragic incident leads Anna’s and Luke’s families to separate them, Eve finds herself questioning what she is willing to risk to help them. Eve has her own secrets, and her own desperate circumstances that raise the stakes even higher. With huge heart, humor, and a compassionate understanding of human nature, Sally Hepworth delivers a page-turning novel about the power of love to grow and endure even when faced with the most devastating of obstacles. You won’t forget The Things We Keep.
I hope you stay safe and healthy in your part of the world my friend. I hope you have a good week.
I have begun stitching a December monthly. I am behind. I usually have my monthlies done and on display for the correct month, but December is ALWAYS a problem for me. The ornament stitching is to blame. I hope to get caught up. At least with most of the monthlies! ARGH! Does this happen to anyone else in December?! I do very well with my stitching plans all YEAR, and THEN DECEMBER HAPPENS!🤯😵 Can't even say I will be stitching today. I have to do my Christmas cards first.

Those Cally Cat ornaments are wonderful. I am sure it cheered Jacob up no end.
Sorry to hear that Kristen has the Covid now, hopefully she's been distance learning anyway since Jacob fell ill.
The book sounds interesting, I wonder when the first Covid-based plot lines will start to appear! "Love behind a Mask"!
Your Cally ornaments turned out so cute with that adorable little frowny face! Will be keeping Jacob and Kristen in my prayers for an uncomplicated recovery.
Good evening, Vickie. I am so sorry to hear that Covid has moved to Kristen. Nasty virus. Your ornaments are so adorable. Boy...your Cally kitty does look grumpy. LOL You did a great job on the curves. Not my favorite cut. Have a safe week.
Your Callie ornaments are super, Vickie. And your bread looks so good. Praying for Jacob and Kristen as they deal with COVID. Thank you for the book recommendation; will add it to my list. Thinking of you, stay safe and healthy!
You made the presents perfectly, Cally looks cute on the patterns.
Pumpkin yeast bread sounds delicious, I've never baked it before.
Oh dear, poor Kristen, I hope she will be better soon. I pray for both of them that they will get through it well.

Hi Vickie,
the ornaments are very cute. They look like your cat Cally.
I'm praying for Jacob and Kristen. Hope they are feeling better soon.
Have a nice week. Manuela
Nice embroideries and your bread seems very good!
Those little cat ornaments are adorable!! They do look like Callie! I hope Kristen is improving! I continue to pray for them both!
Those Cally Kitty ornaments are so sweet, Vickie! You did beautiful finishing work on them! I'm glad Jacob is feeling better and hope that Kristen is feeling better very soon. They are both in my prayers. Take care!
I'm in love with your little Cally ornament, Vickie--so sweet! And, it's funny, but I just listened to that same book and really enjoyed it, sad as it was. Early age dementia must be so horrific... I can't imagine. When my dad was in the dementia facility, his roommate was only 50. It was just the saddest thing to watch his young wife visit him...
So sorry to hear about Kristin now getting Covid--I hope and pray that she recovers quickly and completely. The virus affects us all so very differently, it seems. Good to hear Jacob is on the mend. ♥
Your Cally ornaments are lovely.
I hope that Kristen is recovering from Covid and has no lingering ailments.
Thank you for your beautiful post - it gave me such a lift. It is crunch time here for my household. My favorite time is the day after Christmas, I will do lots of stitching and knitting. Take care, breathe and lots of prayers.
Awe, your Cally ornaments turned out beautifully. Although she doesn't look very impressed, typical cat! That would be cute to do for Ming and Max, maybe next year.
Yum, your bread looks good, I hope it was delicious.
Great to hear that Jacob is feeling better, but so sorry to hear Kristen ended up with too. I hope by now she's feeling better and still did well at Uni.
That sounds like a good book, although a bit sad.
I'm never ready for December's stitching, not like I have 11 months to plan for it or anything!
