Hi friends! THIS is why I have been absent for September!
THIS is my gift to our oldest son Jacob🤵 and his bride-to-be Kristen👰.💕 It took me most of the month to stitch it. Jacob has moved back home with us. I wanted to keep it a surprise from him. Unfortunately, he saw me stitching on it after a while. He did not see IT though. He is still keeping this a surprise for Kristen.😁 This went off to Hobby Lobby for framing yesterday. I would have chosen ornate wood for myself. The framer, Brian and Madeleine (our 22 year old) said solid walnut frame. I agreed. It is for the couple. Not for me. This is stitched two over two with DMC and Cottage Garden Thread in Burgundy for the flowers on 30ct Baby's Breath linen. Their wedding color is burgundy. This pattern is by DMC and is called Just Married. It was charted to say "Just Married"(in French!) at the bottom. I changed it to say Two Become One instead. 💞
📚The Widow is Book One in the Kate Waters Series by Fiona Barton. Jean is the story's title character, the widow to a very bad man. She appears to be "just a dutiful wife". This is a psychological thriller I enjoyed.

The wedding sampler for Jacob and Kristen is so beautiful, Vickie! I'm sure you can hardly wait to present it to them... Love the soft colors in the leaves and the pretty pale pink fabric you chose. It won't be long now--so happy you found a pink dress. Is it a long one? Your pink mask will be great :) Who would ever have thought you'd be wearing masks at your sons wedding--what a year!
