Hi friends! I have finished stitching Lizzie Kate Flip It November Stamp. Isn't it cute?
Do you notice the problem though? ARGH! I stitched it on what I THOUGHT was 25 count evenweave. Well it was UNEVENWEAVE. It is 25 count one way and 29 count in the other direction!!☹️ Come on!! See how my finish above is not a nice square "stamp" shape like the pattern? Mine is a rectangle. PUH! It has linen showing above and below. I had the perfect cubby square for it picked out. Well, that is where I put it anyhow.
The UNEVENWEAVE fabric is gone in the trash. I do not want more stitching screwed up!🙁
This Lizzie Kate pattern was a gift from our friend Robin. She asked me to pass this along to another stitching friend when I finish, so I will. Here is the deal. You must be a follower of this blog. This giveaway is open to any friend anywhere in the world. There is one catch. I am asking anyone who wants this pattern to first give me a favorite pumpkin or sweet potato recipe. Yes, for real. If you do not leave a link here in the comments to the recipe, or email me the recipe ( my email is in my profile on the upper right, at the top of this blog), you will not be included in the giveaway for the pattern. 😮
🦃I will draw a name for the winner of the giveaway on Monday, November 19th. 🦃
I am now stitching Jacob's Christmas ornament. It is, let's say interesting. I have to do a bit of make it up as you go along.🤔
I am SO GLAD you decided to stop by today. Really! It seems less and less friends stop by and read blogs. Or maybe less of you leave comments? I appreciate you taking time to leave a friendly note. THANK YOU!!!
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’ --Isaiah 6:8

Hi Vickie,
The little November motif is pretty.
Unfortunately, I have no pumpkin or sweet potato recipe for you, I have never cooked sweet potatoes, and I make pumpkin soup now and then, and no prescription. But surely you will get a great one.
Hugs, Martina
It's still cute though. :)
Marilyn
Hello Vickie,
a wonderful finish.
I have the pattern, too. So I don't need this pattern. Good Luck to all the other follower.
Have a nice Sunday. Manuela
I would have quickly thrown that linen out right away. Nothing is worse than stitching up something thinking it will look one way and not getting that.
I think many have gone to Instagram, which I don't like as much because you don't get details and the personal thing.
I have been so busy with my new grandson that I have missed stopping into lots of places. Maybe after Thanksgiving I will be back to normal.
Adorable! We stitchers love our little mistakes too😘....you will always have the story now to go with this piece. Blessings
Vickie, I think your stamp turned out adorable even with the uneven linen. I look forward to seeing what you picked for you son's ornament. Have a day filled with many blessings!
I like your ornament, if you did not say what was wrong I would never have noticed. Have a great day big hugs
Unevenweave is something I came across once too. It's frustrating, especially after you've already started substantial stitching! Ugh. I like your little finish though.
I think a lot have migrated to Instagram or FB, one of which I don't use, and the other I have, and hate. :) It's hard to keep up with blogs this time of year; too much going on, I guess. I bet there will be a surge at the end of the year through January.
I am a one of those strange folk who DOES NOT LIKE pumpkin. Bleck. So my "recipe" would be to leave it set out for fall decoration! And I only like sweet potato fries ahaha (never made them from scratch though). Hopefully someone gives you something yummy for the pattern (please don't include me~).
Congrats on the cute finish Vickie.
Linda
He still looks cute. :)
Your stamp still turned out beautifully Vickie, it does look nice in the cubby.
Minimal comments on my blog too, I seem to have lost a lot of 'friends' in the past few months to facebook and instagram (I don't do either) or maybe its just that i'm more conscious of it as I only blog.
love and blessings x
I don't like instagram or facebook, first off I don't know how to do it and second sometimes you get the wrong type of person getting on your instragram and facebook. I just like to blog and read other's blog's and leave nice comments. hugs to all.
Vickie did you get the recipe I sent you in email.
Hi Vickie! I love your Turkey! He looks great and I probably wouldn't have noticed that the fabric was uneven.... :)
I miss my Blogger friends... but it is all my fault as I just don't seem to have the hours in the day anymore, but today I made a real effort to read blogs instead of wasting time on FB! I must go and visit my very neglected blog and do a huge update post!!!
I don't have any pumpkin or sweet potato recipes except for one I use to make biscuits for Mitzi! :0)
Hugs xx
So cute, Vickie, but how annoying re the fabric. How generous of you to give the pattern away, however, I will give it a miss this time. I hope that you get some good pumpkin and/or sweet potato recipes. Here is a favourite of mine: https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/pumpkin-soup/e54ab2b5-7d19-4e4b-b383-781292dc4bfb
Love you cubby! I will be sending you some things!
I think your little turkey looks just fine. It looks great in the cubby. I didn't even know there was unevenweave. Now I will be very careful!
Oops, but he still looks great in the cubby!
I'll email you a pumpkin recipe, my boys love it!
Keep up with blogging, I prefer that over anything else.
The turkey looks adorable...psst...no one will ever know about the fabric as he fits perfectly n your 'square' opening!!!
LOVE the cubby shelf!!
Oh Vickie it is so cute and fits very well in your unit.
Call me old fashioned but I am happy with the old blog , don't do the others,
can't be bothered I am happy with my blog and the friends I know , even if our numbers have dropped .
Have a good week my friend .
Love the turkey, but ugh on the unevenweave fabric! It really doesn't look bad though. Just might not fit in your cubby well. But so cute! You're the second person I've seen say that less people are commenting. I have to say I noticed that too, but I figured it's because I switched to knitting and lost my audience. lol!
Sorry for the fabric woes, but that is still one cute turkey! Blogging doesn't seem to be the most popular method of connecting with other needleworkers these days, but perhaps it will have a comeback someday? 🙂I seem to have some regular readers who don't comment, and that is fine with me - I read quite a few blogs on a regular basis and don't comment. I love stopping by your blog!
Hello my friend!
Your November stitch is really adorable and looks wonderful in your cubby! I wouldn’t have noticed a thing if you hadn’t mentioned it...but I would have been frustrated as well! After all the time spent stitching....😳
I am sending lots of hugs and love your way...I hope you are having a good week. ❤️❤️
Lovely ornament, Vickie! It turn out very cute!
Hugs!!
Hej Vicky, the stamp is very cute.
Lieve groetjes,
Greetings Vickie: I did a restore to an earlier date that fixed a lots of problems on my computer.
I love the November finish for your Cubby Shelf, he is adorable. I made a mistake once and could not fix it however only I knew of the mistake on the fabric count.
I hope your shoulder is getting better and you are not having freezing cold.
Catherine
Your November stamp is lively but I see how it was so annoying. It looks good in the cubby hole.
Really cute stitch Vickie. I think your turkey came out so cute. RJ
Oh, I understand your frustration with the un-evenweave, Vickie. That happened to me once, long ago, when I was making something for my mom. It was a country shelf with things lined up on it and everything looked quite elongated. Anyway, your turkey is still very cute :)
I like your Turkey despite it not being square. Honestly, had you not pointed it out, I probably wouldn't have noticed! lol It's so adorable! I'm glad it fit your cubbie and that's a good thing. I agree with you - there aren't as many blogging these days. I'm not writing as many posts as I used to and I'm setting a goal to get back to it! I still love blogging and reading blogs.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, my friend!
Blessings - Julie
Another cute finish and none of us would have noticed if you hadn't told us!
This is the 31st comment and that is more than I get so you obviously have loyal followers!
I'll pass on the giveaway as we don't celebrate International Teenage Country Leaving Home Day as I like to call it LOL
