A Joyful Year

Hi friends! I was chosen by our friend Michelle to receive a gift for being a friend and a follower of her blog. Michelle is now closing her blog. These are the gifts Michelle made me. Something stitched, knitted and crocheted.
Thank you Michelle. I love what you created. Perfect for ME! ♥

Our friend Kaye told me last week that she would love to see all 12 of my Joyful World finishes together in one post. I told her that is a great  idea! So here we go!!

Whew! And now... our friend Irmeli has asked me to name my three favorites! I think they are: May, November and December. ;)

That is all for today friends. I have some secret finishing to do. Then off to the post office. :) Then on to another three secret projects!

We got our first snow of the season. Not all that much, just a few inches, but it is so pretty.

Yes, I still have the nasty headache. No let up at all. November was nice with the occasional day of no headache. Cannot figure out why. I sure liked it though. I am trying not to lose hope and confidence in doctors, but.... it sure does seem that no one knows how to help me. :(

Have a good week my friends!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

As usual your stitching is superb. A lovely gift from Michelle. I am so sorry that the headaches continue. As one who has been a migraine sufferer, I know the difficulty in just opening your eyes when they are in full swing. As always, I keep you in my thoughts.

Hi Vickie,

The gifts are so nice, enjoy!
How awful the headaches are still there. I wish I could do something ... all I can do is pray that they will leave you. Taker care, my friend.
Great to see your calendar 'in one go'. Adorable pictures, I hope to make them one day (we stitchers do have to get very very old ;)

Have a good week & hugs across the ocean,
Carolien

That was nice, to see all 12 stitched pieces at one go! They look so good over one and tiny! I have not heard from my Jessee, but last I did she was getting a bad headache... it has been days! Sure wish we knew if it is something in the environment, or diet, or... something! Having to take strong meds is not so great! Hugs!

Beautiful stitching my friend. :) I really like what you did with the December stitching by changing up some of the colors. :)

Wishing you a day filled with many blessings sweet friend.

Thanks for showing us all 12 of your Joyful World projects, each one is so unique and I can't pick a favorite! It seems like I've been so focused on stockings and large projects the past few years. I'm hoping that in 2017 I can stitch some smaller pieces. I like the way you display yours and would enjoy something similar. I hope your headache miraculously disappears, friend. In the meantime, I'll continue to pray for you.

Hi Vicky,
oh what a nice idea to line up all your amazing finishings of "A Joyful year" - I love them all. But - as I already thought, when I saw it at its post - December is my favorite!
Wonderful work, dear friend!

Hugs
Hilda

I am so happy you liked the gifts Vickie - I did them with you in mind. I love your stitched pieces and think December is my favourite although they are all lovely. May I share with you the reason why I stopped stitching - obviously because of the osteo-arthritis starting in my hands but the other reason was headaches. The doctor said I was concentrating so much holding the needle which was causing me to have tension headaches and my headaches went away when I stopped stitching which is why I took up knitting and crocheting as I found I didn't have to concentrate so intensely and I didn't need a daylight lamp either xx I do hope you find relief soon xx

Stunning. I think December is just perfect. I just make sure I have really good lighting before I stitch and it helps. Headaches are complicated through aren't they...everyone is different.

January, June, and September are my favorites. Very cool to see all 12.

Lovely to see all twelve months together - my favourite are the July flamingos. Sweet gits from Michelle too, and perfect for you.

What a lovely gift but a sad reason to get it. Your friend should get an iPad, I'm sat in the living room on mine with hubby reading a book beside me. We can chat and sometimes read bits out loud!
Love the 12 months altogether like that, it was such a great series.

It's so lovely to see all 12 pictures together - such a beautiful series.

And beautiful gifts! It's sad to hear of a blog closer though.

I am very upset that you still have that headache. I really wish I could DO something to make it go away. Gentle hugs!

Vickie, I was so hoping that after your last post with the headache that you would be feeling better by your next post. What a bummer!! I love each of your monthly projects that you shared; they are adorable. I continue to pray for you that you will have relief from your headaches. Hugs coming your way, my friend.

Flamingos and the hedgehog for me, Vickie. I've always wanted to be the neighbor with the obnoxious plastic flamingos. Maybe when I retire... I could see me outside in my jammies, moving the birds every morning, just to keep the neighbors guessing. LOL

You know that you are always in my prayers, sweetie.

How lovely to show all the Joyful designs together. I'm so sorry to hear the headaches are not letting up. It is easy to become discouraged. I smashed the L1 vertebrae in my back over a year ago. There is never a day without some discomfort. It is hard but at least I do continue to get better. I wish the same for you.

Stitching the Joyful World SAL was sure a lot of fun - love yours so much!

We're getting our first bit of snow tonight! We'll see if they decide to delay the start of school in the morning. So far we don't have that much. :)

Take care of yourself!

How nice to see all of your monthly finishes in one post, Vickie--I do love the fact that you did them "over one!" (of course :)

I think December is my favorite and one I may actually stitch some day!

I loved seeing all your little stitcheries together. My favourites are those containing little creatures and they are such fun to see come to life in stitches. I am also very sorry your headaches are still with you. You have more than your share of pain. Hoping this will ease and you will have the relief you deserve.
