Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:3-4

Robin Redbreast

Hi friends! I would like to share with you the Christmas ornament I made for our friend June.
This is a free chart you can find HERE. I stitched this two over two with DMC on pale blue(hard to see with my picture) 28ct linen. I searched my fabric stash and found the perfect fabric to back this little flat ornament. I cut the square shape and folded it just so, with mitered corners, around to the front of another cardboard square. I finished it with a piece of baker's twine as the hanger. This is how the back looks.
Madeleine did paint Murphy's portrait also. All three poodles are done. :) They are each 2"x2".
Did you notice how she even gave poor 'ol Murphy his blue eyes? Well, he does have bluish eyes. He does not have cataracts, just old dog eyes.

I am stitching up a Christmas ornament for a church friend. Yes, you read that right. Our Orthodox Christmas is January 7th. I have time. :)

Thank you for your encouragement and support my friends. I always look forward to comments left by you. Thank you. ♥ Have a wonderful week!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Wow, that backing is perfect!! I am not good at mitering. And you should see what I do with stripes... I would have chosen a print and just got it finished! LOL

I never thought of poodles looking that much different, but you can definitely tell who is who! Your daughter is very talented. SMILE

Oh I love your Robin embroidery and you finished it so perfect. Your daughter is a talented painter, she painted the poodles exact the way they are. And there is still an empty case for another poodlepainting, so ther is room for another poodle ;-) Love and greets, Nienke
