Hi friends! We are definitely back to our usual winter weather around here. Rats! I kinda loved the mild weather. ;) We had a high of 17º yesterday. It will not even get that warm today. It is currently -4º with a wind chill of -15º. Our snow will be around for quite some time.
I would like to show you the Christmas ornament that I made for our friend Annette.
This is stitched on 28ct lambswool linen with DMC and Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe flosses. This freebie can be found HERE.
I'm-a-goin'-cuckoo without stitching my friends! Yes, I have several good books to read from the library. I organized my craft bin. I organized my linen bin. I kitted up four cross stitch projects. Argh! I just wanna stitch.
Well, I did find this pattern that I decided I am just never going to stitch.
I am sorry. This one will be offered to my American friends only. You can blame the darn postage for that!
If you would like to own this pattern, you need to be a follower of mine. Please tell me you want to be included in the giveaway in the comments below. This pattern uses Gloriana Autumn Arbour Silk and DMC. The silk is included. None of the DMC is included. The tiniest stork scissors charm I have ever seen (so adorable) is also included.
I will announce the winner on Monday, January 18th.
Giving poodle haircuts and praying,
Vickie

I saw the sweetie Christmas gift on Annette's blog...it is darling!
I've been on a cleaning rampage too. I am stitching but its back to models for a while, then I can get back to my own!
I know how difficult it is when my hand acts up and I can not stitch, so I truly understand. Thank goodness we do enjoy reading to fill the time.
Beautiful Christmas gift :) I recently organized my crafty spot as well and hoping to be able to stitch more. I have your blog on my list of blogs I follow on my blog - http://christiescrossstitchcreations.blogspot.com/
I would love a chance to be entered in your lovely giveaway. xxx
Aww vert sweet Christmas gift ..I love it so much..
Enjoy your sweet day x
Good morning, Vickie. Hang in there, Sweetie. Keep thinking of how much better you will feel if you can just keep it resting for a while longer...Speaking from experience, the older we get, the longer it takes to heal. But, I am pretty sure if I break anything now, I'll need to replace it, not attempt to fix it. LOL Please don't put me in for your giveaway, I'm so far behind on my projects, I'll need to live to 150.
Have a great day!!
I am hoping and praying that you will be able to pick up your needle very soon and that you can stitch without pain....the Christmas ornament is just adorable...I love it! I also love the pattern that you are giving away and would love to enter in. Stay warm my friend...what books are you reading now? I am reading alot as well....
HI, Vickie - I hope you can get back in the swing of stitching soon. Love the gift for Annette - she's a peach, isn't she? I also love your give away - but please don't put my name in the draw - I won your last giveaway.

Hopefully, this no stitching spell will really help you in the long run, Vickie! The little gift for Annette is adorable :)
I sure hope it warms up--it is 19 here right now and feels miserable. I think we are spoiled after December's warm weather!!
Very beautiful ornament. You're still being productive even without the stitching, see how clean and organized your craft stuff now:) Take care.
Vickie: I am so sad you are not able to stitch, way back in 1997 I had a car accident (not my fault) I was out of work for a year, could not stitch until my wonderful husband made me a stand to use my nor prominent hand it was handy and I was able to stitch, I hope you can find a way to stitch.
Love lambswool so sweet to stitch with, you made an adorable ornament.
Love the poodle picture.
Same temps here in Minnesota.
Blessings
Catherine
