RAK

Hi friends! I received a RAK from our friend Carol. What a happy, beautiful surprise. :)
Carol tells me that she admires how I live my life to the fullest in spite of my chronic pain. So she stitched me this LHN "Hope" virtue. She hopes and prays that some day my pain will be erased altogether. Oh me too Carol, me too!

I cannot even put into words the excellence of this little pillow. I am NOT exaggerating. I told my husband that this is the finest stitching and finishing I have ever seen. Carol also included an extra bit of cording so I can use this pillow as a Christmas ornament. What an excellent idea! I will do just that. :) You can also see the pretty, little note pad she gave me.♥

Busy times with Emerson. He graduates in less than two months. Then on to Concordia University Mequon.
The campus is right upon the shore of Lake Michigan. He will live at home and commute. He is going to major in History, so far. ;) He decided not to major in Art. He was also accepted at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. He loves art and history. The choice was his to make. And he waited as long as possible, let me tell you! He is definitely not done creating art. We will see what God has in store for Emerson.

I finished my least favorite Springtime chore. You still have a chance to guess what chore that is for a free chart I am offering here.  I will draw a name tomorrow. :)

Plodding along with the beading of Theotokos. THAT takes a long time!

Well off to worship on this beautiful Sunday morning. I hope you have a lovely day in the Lord my friends. Thank you for stopping by.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Carol is awesome. Her stitching is always so perfect and she has a truly kind heart...she reminds me so much of you!

Congrats to your son...you can never go wrong with education of any kind...and he is so talented...I honestly don't think he will ever be able to stop doing his art, it's a part of who he is...and truly he has been blessed with such an awesome talent.

I would say your least fav spring cleaning task would be doing the windows. At least it's mine! :)

Blessings to you always sweet friend.

Beautiful RAK! Good for Emerson! So exciting! It's funny, DS also loves history. He was choosing between music and history and he chose music. lol! Similar to Emerson, opposite choice. :D Good luck to him!

What a lovely, thoughtful RAK from Carol. Best wishes to Emerson - the campus looks beautiful! I will guess that the spring cleaning chore you like the least is cleaning the window blinds.

Awww...you are too kind, Vickie--I'm blushing :) I'm thrilled that you liked my "Hope" pillow--I really enjoyed stitching it for you...

Wow, that looks like a wonderful school for Emerson--congratulations to him! My youngest son also majored in history and now works for the U.S. Dept. of Justice so you just never know where that major will take you... Best of luck to him!

Love Carol's cross-stitching - she is a beautiful woman. Good luck to your son - our youngest is graduating in May from university - the time has flown by. I imagine your least favorite chore is dusting the baseboards - I know it is mine.

Good to hear that your son has his plans in place. It's a big decision and he was wise to take his time. Lucky you to get the fun of preparing for another graduation and party - two busy springs for you!
