🌸Bellis perennis🌸

Hi friends! How are you? Is the weather cooling down a bit? It is here, and it is so much nicer now.

All five of us took a short trip to Kentucky to The Ark Adventure in Williamstown.
To see the ark was truly amazing and awesome. It is GIGANTIC! The exhibits within are done very, very well. They have lovely gardens and a small zoo also. I highly recommend visiting. It was extremely hot that day. 97 degrees. I am so very pleased that my migraine DID NOT bother me that day!

I have not mentioned this before, I will now. I have been taking this for three months now and it works for me. Black Cohosh. It is an herbal supplement. I take one 540mg capsule daily in addition to my prescribed Topomax. I asked my neurologist first. He was okay with this. Black Cohosh has made a BIGGER difference for me than increasing Topomax does! I am able to be out in the sun!!! I am never able to do that. I was out for hours on our vacation in 97 degrees in the full sun with my hat, but still!! I just wanted to mention this because I do know of fellow bloggers who do suffer migraines. I KNOW HOW IT IS TO SUFFER IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN FROM MIGRAINES! Ask your doctor about Black Cohosh. I ordered it off of Amazon.

I also wanted to let you know that my stepdad Jim is doing well with his chemo and radiation so far. Thank you for your prayers! They mean so much! God bless you!💗

I finished this over a week ago. I just never got a post on here to show you! This is for the September pedestal frame.
This is 'Bellis perennis' from Danish Cross-Stitch by Gerda Bengtsson. I stitched it two over two with my own conversion of Danish Flower Thread to DMC on Antique White 28ct linen.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
  Galatians 2:20

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! We will be celebrating three birthdays on Sunday at my mom's house. Brian's, my brother Michael, and my brother Jonathan.🎂

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

So glad you've found relief for your migraines. That gives you much more freedom with your activities. Thanks for the update on Jim. I pray for him and your mom. Enjoy your weekend!

Wow! So glad you found something that is helping! Amazing to be out in that high heat and still be OK. Great news Vickie.

That ark looks gigantic in the ads. Remarkable construction, I'll bet your son noticed every detail.

Vickie first and foremost, I'm so happy to hear you have found something that lets you stay out in the sun longer. And, I'm also happy to hear your Step Dad is doing well during treatments. I know it is not an easy time and I'm praying for great results.

Your stitch is adorable. I like it very much. I've been gone this last week at a reunion with our six best friends from college. So today I'm catching up with all my blogging buddies. RJ@stitchingfriendsforever

So wonderful that those awful migraines haven't been around and you can enjoy the sunshine again! Even better that you found a natural aid.
And good news about Jim too!
A very pretty finish for your Bellis perennis, and it's pink!
The Ark does look amazing, too bad it's not closer for us to visit.

I had never heard of the Ark Encounter till recently when a friend from Chicago told me she was going to visit it prior to moving to Kentucky. She too enjoyed it Vickie. I used to stitch Danish designs and always found something I liked in their selection.

That is fabulous news about your migraines. What an incredible trip to the ark on both fronts. So glad to hear about your stepdad. God is always good, but these seasons of reprieve are always refreshing. Judy

I bet that was quite a sight, Vickie! And what good news about your migraines--even in that horrid heat! What a relief that must have been and I'm glad your new treatment plan seems to be having a positive effect. Happy Sunday to you! ♥
