I had to stitch this tiny, little gazebo one over one on 32ct lambswool linen to make it fit. You probably will not recognize the pattern. I have changed it a LOT! Not sure if you can even see the rooster weather vane I created on top in weathered copper color? This is "Main Street Gazebo" by Country Cottage Needleworks.
I think I may call it "Broad Street Gazebo" now.😁 I modeled this after the gazebo on Broad Street in Greendale, Wisconsin where we lived for 10 years and raised our kids. I love Greendale.💖Always will❣️
This is the "Greendale section"of my cubby shelf. The white house is our former home in downtown Greendale.💗 I stitched up Dorothy's famous quote many years ago, referring to Greendale.
Thought I would show you the actual gazebo too.
So now I am going to give away the pattern! If you would like "Main Street Gazebo" by CCN you need to: be a sidebar follower of mine on this blog, and leave a comment on this post telling me you would like the pattern. I will draw a name on Monday, June 10th.
And now...
The winner of the Hinzeit Love Bits: Love America chart is: ASTRID! 😁
“This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
Thank you for stopping by today! I am so glad you did! You brighten my day with your comments.😊
Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Oh yes, I was right - I suspected that it is the motive of CCN. It looks very nice with your changes. A beautiful memory.

Nice memory of an obvious special time in your life.
I enjoyed reading the story of your gazebo. What a fabulous memory and now you have a stitched treasure of it! Congratulations to Astrid on winning your giveaway! I'm not entering your gazebo drawing; I have stitched it already.

Such a cute new addition to your cubby, Vickie. I had a gazebo in my small town, too, that I just loved. It was right down the street and us kids were always hanging out there :) Thanks for sharing you creative rendition with the rooster on top!
Your gazebo is great, Vickie! What a wonderful a adaptation!
Your cubby is so pretty, such nice pieces!
I love that you made the gazebo your own, it looks great in the cubby.
Woot, woot, thanks for the pattern! I'll have plenty of time to stitch it for next month, I need more patriotic stitching! I'll be sure to pass it along when I'm done.
I did actually recognise it and would like to be in with a chance to win it. I am collecting the series (3 so far) and I have a cunning plan. Eventually!
Nice to see the real life one you based this on too.
Isn't that gazebo sweet Vickie. It is perfect for your cubbyhole. Great gazebo story...wonderful memory. RJ
