I have had this pretty freebie printed off and waiting for me for years. You can find the free pattern (and more!) RIGHT HERE.
I have to say I was quite surprised after I had begun stitching this. I went to check if the site still existed and if the freebie was still there. The free patterns now also show a stitched and finished picture of the pattern. My pattern, being three years old, did not. I stitched using the DMC numbers called for, except the purple. Imagine my surprise when I did not see red anywhere in the finished piece shown. Those flowers I stitched with DMC 777, were all shown pink! And you know how much I love pink! But DMC 777 has always been a pinkish red, always. She must have just gone with a different floss there. And you know what? I like the red. As a matter of fact, here are my two favorite flowers in this garden.
Which are your favorites here?
I stitched this one over one on 28ct Dresden Blue Meran linen using DMC and purple VMSS floss.
I am currently stitching up an April piece for my cubby shelf that I will share with you next time.
Madeleine loves poodles just like me. ;) She found this awesome video and shared it with me. Now I would like to share it with you. This teacup poodle named Nala, is an inspiration for Henry and I at "our" nursing home.(You don't need to bring a toy poodle with you to go visit the lonely.)
Thank you for stopping in with me today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friends!
Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Good morning, Vickie. Beautiful!! I love the look of 1 over 1, but so hard for me to do. LOL I like the red and purple, both really add to the "pop". Have a wonderful day!

I like the top red flower and the purple ones at the bottom! Nala is a prize for that place--excellent! Hugs!
Did Henry learn to do a selfie? What a cutie. That piece is very nice but it's over one and I had to turn away!

Such tiny stitches and so pretty! What a wonderful video, Vickie. I think Nala is probably the best medicine for the residents - she is so sweet!
Oh very pretty. :) Blessings always sweet friend. :)
I love your little stitcheries you have shared lately. Such sweet little motifs. I'm also glad you are feeling better and better with time to heal.
Hello Vickie,
I love your new finish and thanks for sharing the link!
The poodle is an angel indeed, how wonderful. I have a children's book on the same issue and I read it many many many times with the girls cuddling up beside me. It's called 'Dokter de Wit', doctor White (it's about a white dog). I wish they would do that in every nursery home and hospital, it helps ...
Have a good day & hugs across the ocean, Carolien
Dear Vickie,
such an amazing Spring embroidery. Great! I like it very much, especially the red flowers are my favorite, they shine and look particularly classy.
I hope your Easter was lovely.
Hug you
Your Sandra

Lovely finish! I love the red -- somehow red is always what grabs me in samplers. I'm running now but will watch the video later. Looks sweet!

Very pretty, I have this too, but have not got around to stitching.
Lovely stitching! :D
Very pretty, Vickie! I also love the red flowers! Your over one stitching looks beautiful!
What a pretty finish, Vickie... I've had that printed off for years, too :)
That video is precious and oh, so true. There is such a special bond between pets and older people. When my dad had his dementia, only dogs and children could bring a smile to his face. Thanks for sharing!
Very sweet finish, Vickie, thanks for the link to the freebie!
Another lovely mini- stitched design, Vickie. So sweet. Thank you for the link.

Such a lovely little piece, Vickie. I remember that I also printed it out but have never stitched it. I might do that soon as I'm into flower stitching right now.
a beautiful spring piece.
Another lovely finish :)
What a pretty little spring piece! I loved the video!
Your garden is just a Paradise dear Vickie!! Hugs!!
That page is one of my favorite freebie pages haha. So much cute and I love the seasonal hearts. My favorite flower is the blue next to the red delphinium though I don't know what it is!
A beautiful little piece - my favourite is the blue. Love, LOVE blue. And what a wonderful video - had me in tears.
Great little Spring finish. I have bookmarked that page before but never stitched anything from it.
I love your disclaimer about not needing a toy poodle to visit people. I was sure that's what puts people off doing voluntary work - lack of poodles LOL
Such a cute little finish.
What a colorful finish! I really like it!
