Smalls Again, Hooray!

Hi friends!

I have stitched two smalls, and I am not showing you them yet. I think they will both be for Jo's annual Valentine's Day Blog Hop. Well, here is a microscopic peek. ;)
I have begun framing the needlepoint icon. I spent one hour last night pinning it.  Glad that part is done. ;)

I am not much of a tea drinker. I have perhaps one cup a week. I do have 4 or 5 tea chai lattes weekly though. My loving husband Brian makes them for me. My favorite kind is Pumpkin Spice.
Speaking of pumpkin, I baked pumpkin bread. mmmmmm! Love pumpkin.
I also baked  Vienna bread and cheese bread. I did not take a picture of the cheese bread. I may stop taking pictures of the breads. I will still be baking them, but I do not want to bore you.
I finished reading The Quilt by T. Davis Bunn. This book was recommended to me by Maggee. What a great read this was. I am now listening to Somewhere Safe With Somebody Good  by Jan Karon. I am absolutely enjoying myself. I have listened to quite a few books on CD and do not always think the voice matches up with what I expect or imagined. This narrator is just perfect for this book. I have read every single book Jan Karon has written. That would be 23 books relating to Mitford and Father Tim ( the main character in these books). They are about a priest in small town life. Some humor and small drama in every book.

I am so glad you visited with me today. I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friends.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

I forgot about Jan Karon books! I read lots of the series, but ... probably not all of them! Glad you liked The Quilt. There are more little ones in that series: The Gift, The Music Box, and One Shenandoah Winter, and some of the more mysterious ones like The Warning and The Presence to name a few! The breads look yummy!! Hugs!

Oh, but I love to look at the breads! I am not a baker. I will say that I am a good cook, but not a baker. LOL It is like baking for myself, without the mistakes. Have a great weekend!

Bread pictures are not boring! :O) I love to bake but we try to eat low-carb as much as we can, so I don't get to bake as much as I'd like.

Ooh, your breads look delicious, and with a cup of tea... Do you think Brian would share his recipe? Hope you're having a beautiful day!

Never made pumpkin bread and will need to do a quick recipe search. My sister is hooked on Jan Karon and has read a few but not all. We got her the latest for the stay in Cleveland.

I can feel your joy of stitching your beloved smalls again. I also needd smalls in between my big projects, just to have a finish every now and then, lol.

Hello Vickie -

I love your bread photos. Please continue to post them. It makes me want to bake.

As for Chai, not for me, I prefer black tea with a bit of milk, about 5 times a day.

Chai is hindi word for tea. It is a daily routine in every household in India to drink black tea with milk . I don't like but I drink green tea for health reasons. Latte and green tea variants have become popular in recent years.
I am excited to see your Valentine's stitching when done :)

Love the peek of your smalls -- so pretty just with that peek! I don't mind bread pictures ever. I love bread, and I love that my DH bakes bread too! I love Jan Karon and Father Tim! Is the latest one good? I think I want to re-read all the books and catch up to the latest one. lol!

I like your breads! I can always count on being hungry on your blog ahaha. I am not too much of a hot tea drinker but being a bit more south, if it's icy cold and more sweet than tea, that's my flavor. :D

I can imagine it feels so nice to be working on smalls again!

Boring us with bread photos??? Never!! I love seeing them, Vickie :)

Glad you are back in "smalls" mode--I, too, love stitching them more than anything else... Good luck with the framing of that gorgeous icon!

Your bread looks wonderful.
Sometimes we just needed a little smallies to rejuvenate.

Take care!
