Hi friends! I have a small Valentine finish to share. Love you! by our friend Melisa ๐๐
Such a sweet, quick stitch, I just had to stitch it up and make it into a heart for my corner shelf❣️ Even though my hearts are never perfect. I stitched this two over two on 28ct hand dyed evenweave with VMSS Antique Pink. ๐ Backing fabric is from stash.
It is filled with wood shavings from my carpenter son. Thank you Melisa!
๐ค๐ฑTilly Pinkeep (Black Cat Needle Book by Pineberry Lane๐ฑ๐ค
My birthday present to our friend Carol๐Carol used to have a black cat named Shadow. This is a free pattern available on pineberrylane.com. My cat's face looks quite different than the one shown for the pattern. I just had to give it "more". Carol tells me she uses this little kitty as a finger puppet while she face times her grandson. How precious is that?! ๐ฑ
I am now stitching the last pattern I want to stitch from Brenda Gervais' Jelly Bean Jubilee. My friend Lisa borrowed me the pattern book and I will be getting it back to her so she can get her own Easter patterns stitched up!!!
Once the Easter pattern is fully finished I will most likely begin the Garden Journal February piece. I actually have a Christmas piece I really want to stitch right now too, but I am waiting for the red silk to arrive. My friend is giving me the silk. ๐ What are you stitching right now?
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” Matthew 16:24-28
It is not very warm around here lately. That is nothing new I suppose.
I hope you have a stitchtastic week my friends! I thank you for stopping by and I thank you for your encouraging words you leave me. ๐
Stitching and praying,
Vickie
Love your heart and the black cat for Carol.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week Vickie .
The heart looks wonderful and the little cat for Carol is very cute.
ReplyDeleteIn February I will start with the Jelly Bean Jubilee Serie.
Have a nice week. Manuela
I always find hearts awkward to finish but I love them. This is a pretty finish. The 'finger' cat is a thoughtful gift.
ReplyDeleteThat heart & kitty are both so cute.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Jelly Bean finishes!
Stay warm!
Marilyn
Heart shapes are tough, but yours is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe heart is so sweet and I find them impossible to sew, you did a great job!! Looking forward to your Jelly Bean stitches. It's been bitter cold here, when it's in the upper 20's it feels warm!!lol
ReplyDeleteYour heart piece is darling as is Miss Tilly. Working on a WIP at the moment called Friendship Sampler. Happy Monday, Vickie!
ReplyDeleteLove your heart finish and the little black cat!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, Vickie. Your "Love You" is so pretty in pink and I adore how you turned it into a heart shaped pin pillow. Great idea. The little black kitty that you made for Carol is as cute as a button. Thank you so much for the sweet shout out and for stitching my little design. Happy stitching.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute little heart and the black cat is wonderful! I am stitching a Quaker design. It will take me quite awhile!
ReplyDeleteHow cute the little heart pillow, and all in your color.
ReplyDeleteAnd the black cat - really cute.
I'm currently stitching on my project for 6in2022 and will soon be able to finish it, after that I want to do something for spring.
Have a nice week.

Positively beautiful Scripture.

Such a cute heart, but that black kitty is my favorite, Vickie :) I have fun showing it to Mister B along with the other cat things I have in my house. He LOVES cats (and dogs, too--he calls them puppos). Thank you again and have fun with your new projects. ♥
ReplyDeleteA lovely heart and who needs perfect, that's what makes it an original!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little kitty, even better that she uses it for her grandson.
I'm looking forward to seeing your Easter patterns!
That is a very sweet heart, the irregularities just make it more personal.
ReplyDeleteThe cat finger puppet is so cute, I can just imagine the little grandson enjoying seeing it.
