Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to my fellow Orthodox friends!

Here are my orts from 2015. They are sitting atop our non-moving(rather cold here)snow. About 7 inches of it. Those two blades of grass are what the snowblower threw there. I will put these orts out in the Spring for the birds to use in their nest building.
I am still working on my neck and upper back. I am hoping and praying the pain goes away through physical therapy and I won't even need further treatment from an orthopedic doctor. For the first time since I saw the hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon months ago, with the exam that brought on this awful neck pain, I felt less pain yesterday and today!! That is progress finally! Merry Christmas indeed!

Reading and praying,
Vickie

  6. Oooh I have never thought of collecting my threads all together for the whole year..... I bet my pile of threads would be much larger as I just cut threads willy nilly... But saying that I do rumage sometimes through my thread cuttings if I just need a colour for one or two stitches. I may keep all my cuttings together now as I am quite curious to see how many I can collect all year! I love all the colours in your 'cold' jar :)
Hope your feeling a little better....sending you happy smiley thoughts :)

  16. What a great way to celebrate....with less pain! I hope and pray that you will be pain free soon. I love your ort jar and all the threads will help to make cozy homes for some lucky birds. I love to watch the birds in our yard....the sparrows are so funny and the doves are so quiet and shy, and the hummingbirds just fly around them all going back and forth to their feeder. I hope you have a good day today my friend.

  33. Wow! What a testament to all your stitching! I'm going to do the same with my little threads - give them to the birds for nest building. I do that with my yarn ends, too. They love them and it's so fun to see them peeping out of the nests when I happen to find one in the trees.

    Many blessings - Julie
